I've known the Kizito name around the Louisville area for decades and have always treated myself to her cookies whenever I see them for sale. Some of my fondest memories are of my grandpa bringing me here before we went to pick up my aunt from work. Been a long time Kizito Cookie fan. Hands down best cookies in the world. This is the best. Still family run, Mother and daughter, both are so friendly and will always have a smile and some time to engage in conversation with you. They are a national treasure, yet not a big factory. Everyone knows that Kizito’s Cookies are the best, but they are real people that have big hearts and handmade cookies, and at the store/bakery there is African trinkets for sale that Ma’am has picked up on her ‘safaris abroad. I bought several smalls and all came with tales from her adventures. Try this place in Louisville and ask for the freshest cookies and you’ll see why I write this long ‘Blog’ review. My 1st Kizito- I was 5 years old in 1990 My last one was today at 39 in 2024. Yeah, it’s that good!!!!Kid-friendliness: Duh, Cookies. lol.

We were welcomed in and were amazed by the incredible smell of cookies inside this shop. The cookies were delicious and macaroons perfectly toasty. All of the art for sale is ornate and beautiful. So glad we stopped in. Definitely come shop here. Such a humble and kind owner. If you want something authentic and unique here it is.

Outstanding batch made cookies of many traditional and seasonal kinds! Cute store with on brand gifts and toys. The founder and operator is a person well met. I stop here to buy dozens of individually wrapped cookies every time I'm in town. Love it.

This place was recommended to us by coworkers so we decided to track it down when we arrived in Louisville. It was a neat little bakery nestled in Old Louisville and the person who served us was extremely well mannered and polite. The cookies were definitely fresh and very reasonably priced. However, I didn't really see anything that made these stand out amongst any other cookies out there. I would eat them again if I happened to be walking by, but I wouldn't go out of my way to track it down.

We had waon a trip to Bourbon & Beyond from Louisville Tourism board and were staying down the street at The Myriad Hotel. We went to breakfast at Highlands Morning and had a wait to be seated so we took a stroll and ended up here at Kizito Cookies. They had so many delicious cookies, the sugar Cooke was my favorite. The gentleman at the counter was very polite and kind and offered us a brownie that was good also! They had many neat crafts for sale as well. ?????
