. La Pana Bakery y Cafe is a little Cuban bakery, located in the Logan Street Market. I haven't visited it inside the building, but they have a street-side (walk-up) ordering window on Logan Street. So convenient!. I had the Cortado con azucar- a latte made with two shots of Cuban espresso. The coffee is strong, but not bitter. I asked for some sugar, and they gave me a small cup of sweet syrop to add (cinnamon flavored). The Cortado was very good.. I also got an Apple Strudel. This tasted like a strudel, but was shaped round, like a sweet roll. It was also quite good.. Ordering from the Logan Street walk-up window was easy, friendly, and fast.

Oh my word! I ran out of oatmeal this morning but had driven past the spot a million times and wanted to try it out. Absolutely the yummiest breakfast. I had the chorizo and cheese empanada and the lechecilla donut and I’m in heaven!

They literally have the best coffee and doughnuts in Louisville. If you come here, be prepared to be hooked forever.

Reliably delicious bakery and coffees. I would especially recommend the chocolate croissant and lechecilla donuts - probably the best donut I have ever had. Guava empanada was tasty too. Get there early for a full selection!

i hate to give this a 3 star review b/c the food was actually very goodi walked to the bakery this last saturday and sunday. it had snowed the previous day, so was icy and also very cold (wind chill at below 10).On Saturday, when the bakery was open, I stood outside with no one acknowledging me being there for minutes. Finally, a staff member with red hair and a beanie saw him and again, just ignored me. i had to then walk inside to a side entrance to basically flag the same person and ask if i could be served. the woman didnt say or acknowledge anything, or even my inconvenience. i normally wouldnt complain about this but it was -10 degrees!i went back on sunday and didnt have any issues. the baked goods were excellent, but service was disappointing

A swift, delicious stop with street parking and a lot. A total banger for cafe libations and bakery needs. The almond crossiant is Fire, but you can not go wrong with whatever you order. Trust!

On one hand, how have I not reviewed La Pana yet? It's such a delicious find! But on the other, yay to having the opportunity to sing my praises of La Pana! Love that I get this opportunity to write down how much I love this small walk-up window at Logan Street Market. So first of all, if you happen to be at LSM in the morning and you notice that La Pana is open and has baked goods for sale, JUMP ON IT! I've visited a few times to find them sold out. I love the lechecilla donut, which is coated in cinnamon sugar with a Oaxacan vanilla custard in it. It's a small donut, but just the size it needs to be to be a fun morning treat. Also good is the rol de canella con lechecilla, which reminds me of the lechecilla donut but made with flaky puff pastry instead. The strudel and croissant were also delicious. La Pana also has coffee, and if you find that a favorite pastry is sold out, I highly suggest you venture inside LSM and see what Safai Coffee has stocked, since they carry their pastries as well. Plus, you should take this opportunity to also visit sister restaurant Foko, which recently moved out of LSM into its own building at the corner of Kentucky and Logan streets.

Absolutely love the baked goods here! Everything is so flavorful and the perfect level of sweetness. The rol de canela is my favorite, made with a flaky pastry dough and a delicious custard with a lovely cinnamon flavor, but honestly everything I've tried here was a contender for my favorite pastries I've ever had!! The staff is super friendly too, making this one of my favorite places to stop by if I'm in Louisville in the morning!

I loved the walk up window to this place and all the well crafted pastries! I have a little doughnut business of my own so any time we travel, I'll try to find someone making doughnuts. You know, for research. I'm happy to say that La Pana is doing doughnuts well! I also loved how friendly they were with pups. Pumpkin, my dog, got a pup cup and her review would also be five stars. If we're ever in Louisville again, I'll be sure to stop by!

Drove an hour to find a window of perfection. Perfect pastries that look gorgeous and taste amazing. Light, balanced textures and flavors- not your heavy over the top sweet doughnut. Staff friendly and welcoming. I'll be looking for any excuse to drop by their window for another taste of perfect.

The blueberry scone and sassy abuelita was amazing. I highly recommend stopping here.
