The restaurant is cute and the food was decent, but it wasn't authentic Venezuelan and the food made me sick to my stomach, It was expensive and the music was way too loud. The menu has no prices, and the server was rude and didnt speak english. Would not recommend it and I won't be back.

Las Chamas is my favorite spot, hands down. I always gotta get the arepa—it's really good. The way they make it is just so good, and it always hits the spot. I'm already looking forward to going back!

I went inside to order and the restaurant is small, and with quite a bit of people in to dine it was really noisy. To add to that the restaurant plays music “loudly” may I add, which adds to the noise. When it was time for me to order the waitress could barley me, and she didn't speak english. I looked at the menu and it only contains the food items with no prices. 😕 Huh? So you have to ask how much everything costs. I ordered a shawarma sandwich, I asked what sauce he came with. She couldn't understand the question. She called over a younger girl who knew English. I asked her what sauce comes with the sandwich. THEY DONT KNOW. I ordered anyway to try, maybe the taste of the food would override my experience. If not, I probably won't return. Oh, and when there are others in to dine, don't expect fast service, there’s only one person taking orders, being the waitress, and cashing people out.
Once I tried the food I know that I will not be returning to this restaurant.

The place maybe not that big, but it has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Owners go above and beyond to make customers feel at home. Every dish I've tried so far has been delicious, and the "Carne en Vara" is the best I've had in years. The only thing missing is draft beer, but aside from that, I absolutely love this charming Venezuelan spot in the Heart of Louisville.

It was the most expensive dinner I've ever had. A plantain sandwich with chicken, some sweet arepas, and two drinks, $40 including tip. The food was good but overpriced. Chairs are not comfortable!

Salty stew, the arepa cheese is not Gouda, it is also too greasy, as is the empanada, and what can we say about the service, everything is fine until the chef asks for your phone number to offer Guatemalan tamales, you can't find it.
