I was excited to try this place as we were in town for an event, and I saw that it had good reviews. Not sure if it's the fact that I'm really from the south and frequent NOLA often or that I actually saw who was cooking in the back (a bunch of kinds who looked to be in their 20s). The food was horrible!!! The bayou dip was a bowl of greasy cream cheese with no flavor. I had the Bourbon Glazed Salmon, and the asparagus was so mushy that I instantly discarded it and attempted to salvage the salmon with some terrible tasting mashed potatoes. My husband had a "po boy" of some sort that resembled a hot pocket and the red beans and rice that looked a day old! We didn't finish any of it. The service was also terrible!! Our server came and asked how we were doing, and we expressed that we didn't like anything. He was like, "Oh, maybe we'll do better next time" without a care or concern. The only welcoming feeling we had was the gentleman at the front who checked in our reservation. I'm not sure who is running this place, but nothing about it was pleasant. I'm extremely mad that we spent $92 and ended up ordering a pizza as soon as we got back to our hotel!

We had such a good time! Our server recommended the pork chop, which was excellent, and after dinner we went downstairs into the “speakeasy” to listen to live music! All around great experience.

Po boy was sparse and lukewarm. Also didn't care for sauce. The Kale had way too much vinegar, but they took it off the bill. The service was good so could have been an off day. My dinner companion liked his pasta.

The menu was great - lots of Cajun specials and everything we all tried was great. The service was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant has a fun and lively ambiance!! Great value!

The vibe is a New Orleans Cajun style restaurant with a flare. I’ve visited Louisiana several times, and this place felt exactly the same. Great food with awesome service. But the kicker is the decor and design of the historic building. I highly recommend checking this place out for yourself. Guaranteed not to disappoint.

Great food, great cocktails and great service! This is the second time I've eaten here and it certainly did not disappoint. What a gem in Nulu!

The waiter, hearing some of us speaking French, decided to be called Michel. He was amazing and for this reason we kept ordering food and drinks. The food was delicious, if you want some amazing dishes with great cocktails please go there. They even had a vegan option ( which is quite rare in this city )

When at the end of the evening. Service was great and quick! Food came out very fast! Pizza was cheesy and delish and carbanara was chefs kiss. We moved inside at the end of our meal without problem due to rain. Would love to dine again on next trip to Louisville!

We had a wonderful experience sitting outside in the courtyard. It had a true Louisiana (Louisville) feel. The oyster were a nice start to the meal. The crawfish boils was very good. Our waitress was charming and efficient. My daughter was in for spring break and said the restaurant was her new favorite.

Being from Louisiana we were skeptical but we needn't have been! The food was wonderful! We had a group of 7 and tried a variety of the menu and it was all fantastic! Would highly recommend!!

Great as usual! Megan is the sweetest! The oysters and Megan's service are perfectly consistent! That crab cake sandwich was sooooo good!

Party of 6-all loved the food, our server, the vibe, staff--excellent! Lou Lou on Market has different feel than Cafe Lou Lou--both excellent but unique experiences.

Louisiana cooking in Louisville. A must if you love good food. We had dinner there (I had the Cajun Ribeye, and it was delicious), then went downstairs to have a drink and hear a live band. It's a whole vibe!!

We stopped at Lou Lou on Market for lunch on a Wednesday, and we were happy to see that it wasn't that busy! The waitstaff was a little awkward and our waiter was very soft spoken and had a hard time balancing all of his tables. We didn't get a water refill and we only saw him when he took our order, and when he delivered the check. We ordered the Crawfish Bayou Dip as an appetizer, and upon first appearances it looked amazing! However, it was so incredibly rich and oily that it was hard to enjoy. If you enjoy pure oil and cream cheese, this is the dish for you. We ordered the Four Cheese Ravioli and She Crab Bisque for our entrees. The bisque was very average, but the ravioli was to die for!! The flavors were so vibrant and crisp, you tasted every bit of the ravioli, including the vegetables, cheese filling, and green sauce. Another thing we had a hard time with was all of our food was brought to the table at the same time, so we got our appetizer the same time as our main dishes. This is something I really don't appreciate, as appetizers are suppose to be enjoyed before your meal. Overall, it's a very cute building with a loud New Orleans flare, but I do feel that there are plenty of other restaurants that offer much more vibrant and flavorful dining experiences.
