04/14/24We stopped in as we were going through. Nice chicken spot. Prices are reasonable. Chicken is made to order. Hot and crispy. I wouldn't say it's hot as in spicy though. The Mac n cheese is good. The fries are crispy. The service was fantastic. We didn't have to wait to long even with a line forming.

Ordered food then was asked to pick a different side because all their corn was frozen. Got home and the sides were switched between the orders and a side was missing. This is horribly frustrating when they weren’t that busy. Other than those issues and the overall stoner vibe from the workers, the food was good.

If you like hot chicken, don't miss this place. Louie's is a contender for some of Louisville's best fried chicken. If you want some good food, try the three tenders meal or the fried chicken sandwich - both are excellent. I highly recommend the house dipping sauce (Louie's Sauce). The fried chicken is tender and flavorful and they cook it fresh (you can hear it cooking). The side portions are generous. The fries are good. The corn on the cob is delicious. Seating and parking are limited, but it's always clean inside. I've never had an unreasonable wait time for fresh, hot food.

Had to laugh at one idiot that called Louisville “a food desert”. There’s a ton of great places to eat in Louisville (almost too many) and Louie’s is one of them. The fried chicken is outstanding.

First time we have eaten here. Read the reviews & decided to give it a try. It was all wonderful! Have to wait for food to cook which was totally worth it. Ate at picnic table outside in the sun & enjoyed the while experience. Will go back for more often. Take out will be great & prices worth it.

Read plenty of great reviews and decided to Stop for a late lunch with my husband, the food was awful. We both ordered chicken sandwiches and they had no flavor at all. The baked beans were disgusting as well as the potato salad. The service was just as bad. The couple in front of us ordered and got their food right away but we waited an extremely long time for ours. The employees were apparently too busy in the back arguing with one another about half drank water bottles and dating websites while multiple people were out front waiting on food. Would definitely not recommend to anyone.

TERRIBLE! stopped by today for lunch, employees was in the back arguing with each other and cursing like a sailor. Took way too long to get our food. It was so hot inside we had to go set in the car and eat. Best thing about what I ordered was the fries. Potato salad was terrible, chicken sandwich was very bland and dry. Tried a couple wings they were very dry. We literally threw half our order in the trash. WAY overpriced for the quality of food and service displayed today. I was so shocked and disappointed. I honestly never give reviews but this was such a bad experience it had to be rated a 1/10.

Little hole in the wall shop. It's not really a place to sit and eat, but the food is worth it. If you're used to spicy, get the extra hot. Fries needed a bit of salt, but it was hot and freshly made. Definitely a good place.
