The fish plate at this location is the best. It is cooked country style not breaded. The choice of sides is also very good.

Ordered a package for 20. Food was excellent except the meats. Wish someone would have called me. Chicken and pork were VERY DISSSPOINTING. Expected more smokehouse taste which neither had. The chicken was in hunks and not shredded. Most of all the pork was the bottom of the barrel with hard tough peices. 3 of my best friends told me that the pork was dissapointing and the quality was terrible and I do agree. For my $200 I EXPECTED BETTER QUALITY and if that is what is served on their normal pork sandwiches I am so glad that I never had one. Btw the buns were molded on day #3-- so glad that hubby noticed as he was going to make a sandwiich..bad quality. The chicken oasta salad had hard dark chunks of chicken-- otherwise it was good...green beans and apples were awesome. Again highly embarrassed that meats didn't wow me and quality was bad..

Was really hoping for more. While nothing was 'bad' - and the burgoo was actually very well done- the brisket and the pork were not anything special. The brisket was not smoked to the traditional 'fall apart' tenderness and this was disappointing. Buttermilk pie was a bit too sweet. Certainly not a 'bad' place - but not more than 3 stars. Service was very good and servers were very sweet and attentive.

I love marks feed store. I'm from des moines, IA. Everytime me and my family are in kentucky we always stop and eat at marks! Love the food, ask about there BBQ sauce to take back home! Delicious BBQ!

My buddy and I went to the original Mark's. This trip I got the pulled pork sandwich with a cup of burgoo. He got the brisket sandwich. The burgoo was good, but not the best I've had. Otherwise, I've never been disappointed going here.

Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options.Parking: If I was in a wheelchair I would avoid this place at all costs! Just the topography of the location makes it inconvenient for anything on wheels. It is not the restaurants fault other than the location.Kid-friendliness: Wonderful atmosphere for kids but no real kids menu to speak of.Wheelchair accessibility: AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

My all time favorite barbecue period. Thr potato salad and buttermilk pie are also favorites of mine. Laid back, comfortable atmosphere. Convenient location and reasonable prices. Our server was top notch and I was impressed by how quickly we were served our food. Our dining experience at Mark's was perfection. Unfortunately, I live 45 minutes away, so I am thrilled they carry Mark's BBQ sauce at my local Kroger. It's the only BBQ sauce I use at home.Parking: Location is easily visible on Shelbyville Road. I drive a full size truck and have never parked in the parking lot. Seems like it may be a tight squeeze for my vehicle. I always park on the side street and never have trouble finding a spot or getting in and out.
