My first time in since the reopening. Tried the fish sandwich and hush puppies. Both were delicious.

Fish platter is a good value. The fish is actually better than I remembered from years past. Coleslaw is awesome and the fries were good too. Wish they’d throw hush puppies in there as well but I’m sure they’re good too. Def a hidden gem. And they take credit now which is nice.

New owners and prices are up but still yummy fish. Now thick cut, almost an inch thick filet. Nice that now not cash only.
Previous review: Excellent fish.

Im not normally a fried seafood kind of girl because NOBODY can get fried seafood right. This place nailed it. My husband and I got the seafood platter to share. Each item was deep fired to a perfect golden brown You could taste the seasoning IN the pieces of fish with each bite. The grab cakes were surprisingly loaded with flavor. My husband, a very picky slaw eater loved the slaw too!
Worth every penny to share the platter! I will be back! Hats off to the cook!

Great sandwich, but the food in the picture was a $20.00 lunch. A Coke is not pictured but a part of the order.

Little hole in the wall places have great food and this is no exception. Try the fish sandwich. Plenty of fish, crispy breading, and chips.

The Fish was Exceptional. We took our family here for dinner on a Saturday. It was our first visit to O'Bryan's Tavern. The dining area is separated from the bar area. I was impressed with the menu options. Both of my kids easily picked their meals. I went for the fish. I had heard it was good...it was outstanding. Everything was Hot and Fresh. The music was loud enough that you could hear it and sing along, but low enough that you could still hold a conversation.
We had a great experience and will definitely be going back.

Me and my dad like to come here for the fried fish sandwiches which are seriously some of the best in Louisville. I also bring my kids who all love the burgers and meatball subs. Another bonus is that the beer is always ice cold! I don’t mind bringing my kids in during the day but I probably wouldn’t for a later dinner because this is a bar that has gaming machines in it as well. The atmosphere is NOT BAD, it’s just a very typical small hole in the wall type establishment. We’ve never had bad service or a bad experience .
