Small place with this warm, earthy vibe — smells like roasted peppers and lime the second you walk in. I got the cochinita pibil and a mezcal cocktail; both were unreal. Everything feels thoughtful but unfussy. Staff actually seems proud of what they serve, which you don’t see everywhere. One of those dinners that sticks with you for a while.

Mayan cafe firstly my parents were form out of town and they read about this place. They wanted to try it so bad, and they were so blown away. We got the steak, duck, and pork dish (apologies forgot the specific name of the dish) but it was all beautifully seasoned and tasted wonderfully! Make a reservation because they do fill up fast! The server we had he was so knowledgeable and so kind. The whole staff was wonderful! I recommend this place on a unique and just a great experience!

Paseo was excellent. First time visiting and it will not be the last. All the food was great, but we were shocked with how good the carrots and hummus brulee were. I had the duck confit and it was the best duck I have ever had. My wife had the hanger steak and it too was the best hanger steak we've ever had. Ashley was helping us out and she was awesome.

Tonight I went to what over the years has been one of my favorite places to dine. I ordered my favorite meal, salmon. I made sure that they know that I am allergic to cilantro. My first bite of my salmon dish, I tasted cilantro. I tried to continue eating it but started to have an allergic reaction and my sister also tasted cilantro which she does not like. After some discussion, we were brought a replacement dish of salmon. Upon the first bite, it was obvious that the sauce was full of cilantro. I was assured by the chef that there was no cilantro in the dish. As a long time diner having to deal with cilantro, I have had to deal with restaurants that did not know they were serving cilantro. I am not sure what happened tonight but I have never experienced this issue in my many times eating at the Mayan Cafe. Both of did not have a dinner we could eat. We were given a complimentary dissert and left a tip. Very disapointing evening.

This is an impressive new restaurant in Louisville that we tried when we visited and stayed at the Myriad Hotel. We had heard about the raving reviews and booked up reservations but were fortunate to get a reservation on A Monday night. The ambience was cozy and classy. We love the smell of the wood fire and the food was delicious. The portions are a bit small for the price but very filling and you will not leave hungry. I highly recommend the tomato toast and the homemade pasta. We enjoyed our evening at Paseo very much and would recommend.

Great experience, their sangria was the best white sangria I’ve had in a long time and their saludable of the day was cooked presented as well as it tasted! I had a light lunch there but would definitely go back for dinner with a party!
