The plus side was that the service was quick and the wings were really good. The minus side is my wife's tacos were cold and had WAY too much cilantro on them. The potatoes were nice and creamy but not enough gravy. The mac n cheese was baller, though. On top of that, having to pay to park kinda sucks too. The place is nice and not too loud. The chicken tastes like it was fried and put aside and then refined to order.

Good food, the servers looked tired and a bit unorganized. We went for dinner, sat outside, inside was pretty classic old school bar & grill feel. The cheese dipped Cuban sandwich was very good, the fried half chicken was a bit over cooked. Would definitely go back and try again.

My wife and I stopped in specifically for some tacos because they sounded amazing from descriptions online. Being from out of town, it's sometimes tough to know where to eat or to narrow down choices if too many things sound good. We were not disappointed. $4 tacos with great flavors and really varied contents. We initially ordered five to split and ended up ordering three more. The tacos are street taco sized but not double corn tortillas like I was expecting. The only repeat taco we got was the green chili pork. So good. Sweet chili jam and shredded flavorful pork. Yum. The jackfruit and verde taco was a little too spicy for my wife but I found it delicious. Order with care if you don't like spicy things. We would come back if there weren't so many other restaurants we want to hit during our vacation.

We had an amazing dinner here. Great atmosphere, live music, and service. Interesting menu, we felt it was split southern & southwestern. I highly recommend the chicken n waffles, mac n cheese, Parm fries, fried chicken topped salad, & the Old Fashioned Cocktail. We loved dining on the live music side of the restaurant. Super friendly staff, everyone jumps in to help.

Merle's Whiskey Kitchen is located on Louisville's renowned Whiskey Row and has a touch of old Southern charm. It's housed in a historic building with plenty of outdoor seating. I believe I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was well-prepared in my opinion, and my wife had the fried chicken, which was also decent.

Green Chili Pork Taco is to die for. Al Pastor taco is equally excellent. Dropped by 2 years ago after a work event and it left a lasting impression. Kept dreaming about it. Ended up in the city two years later for work and made this my first stop when it came to food. Just as I remembered it the first time! Will be back for sure. Highly recommended!
