Wonderful foods as always.Exceptional place to eat. My favorite place.
It uses to be kinda special to go there, now it is dirty and unkempt the booths are sticky and walls and trim around the booths have a layer of dust. Really need to have a deep clean and freshen up I've always loved the look. But it is dirty. We were there closer to closing our salads were tired the cucumbers were limp and looked like they had been left out all day. The waitress should have refused to serve it. The fish look and tasted like Gordon's fish sticks. But the trio appetizer was pretty good. We were hoping for a lovely getaway experience, it wasn't planned just a experience to enjoy. It did fall short.
I had the luncheon trio that consisted of choice of soup or salad, a sandwich, and french fries. Everything was piping hot and very tasty. Generous portions. Brought half my sandwich home to enjoy later. Price is a little on the expensive side, but with the generous portions, bit evened out. Fun to splurge occasionally.
Food tastes great! Excellent service! Very accommodating. When I am in town visiting Mimi's is a must.
We stopped here for breakfast after visiting Louisville for a wedding. Atmosphere was very nice and everything we had was delicious! The only thing that made it for a picture was the blueberry muffin which was the best muffin I've ever had. Other that that we had an omelet with fried potatoes and the corned beef hash, all were fantastic! And the prices were cheap for the amazing quality.
Because of the good experience last week, we decided to go again for breakfast - all was great, everyone wearing masks and those we could see in the kitchen were too. All was good until our food came - and the runner wasn’t wearing a mask. The guy with our food 2 feet from his face and no mask in sight. We refused our food and asked for the check. One person said “oh, he probably forgot.” Well, there’s the thing - there should be nothing to forget - this told us everything we needed to know about what’s really going on behind where we can’t see. And now Mimi’s is forever out - trust is broken. ?
Came in for dinner on a Saturday evening. My son and I ordered the Coastal Shrimp. When the food came out you could smell the garlic was overwhelming. The first bite was shocking. There was such a strong lemon taste that it made the dish very uncomfortable to eat. They did make us a second plate that was better but still strong on the lemon. Do not get the Coastal Shrimp if you go here. I also got a Long Island Ice Tea. It was straight alcohol. They asked what it needed. It needed a lot. Ohh and they charged extra on their drinks to make up for some lost sales dollars. Will not be going back. I only gave a 2 star because our waitress was nice.
Has gone downhill since reopening Service slow, waitress forgot one or our friends order, put in after we received our food. Cook left the sauce off my crepes
I’ve never been to the restaurant, I’ve only ordered through Grubhub, but they seriously have the best tomato basil soup I’ve ever had!
Food was delicious, staff with masks & every other table marked off. Staff was super friendly & attentive. Excellence all the way around like you expect from Mimi's

I am a big Mimi’s fan and have been for years. I am sorry to give a bad review. We went with family tonight(8). We had a reservation and they seated us in the back room at a big table. We were the only ones in the room. Perfect! We were not rushed to order and the food came in a reasonable amount of time. My honey glazed salmon was not good but that is not my complaint. Our table was under attack by black gnats! We were trying to eat while fanning our food or slapping gnats. My sister complained to the server. Nothing but a smile. Later I gave up on eating and I told her the gnats were a real problem and the manager should know. Another smile. I also said this is bad enough that I probably won’t be back. I looked for someone to talk to as we left the restaurant but not a soul in sight. This is not the Mimi’s I know!
Today was mine and my husband's first visit. We were seated and while waiting to order, 3 friends of the waiter Fain came in. He began chatting with them and proceeded to take their order. After he got their drinks he came to our table. It was quiet annoying how many times he visited his friends table. We received our food, it was delicious. However, Not once did Fain check on us. He never stopped at our table to see how our food was or if we needed more to drink. He did come back to our table only to drop off our bill. With the city of Louisville restaurants operating during a pandemic service should be top notch. We were recommended Mimi's from several friends. This was our first and last visit. All dining customers deserve better service than just friends.
I've been wanting to try this place for years because I always loved the building. We were seated in a booth. My daughter had shorts on and her leg stuck to the bench. After a while I noticed that my shoe was also sticking to the floor. One person in our group ordered a cappuccino, it took a long time because they hadn't turned the machine on even though this was brunch hour. Well it finally came, no spoon or sugar. Even though we asked for both we only received sugar. The food was ok. I would have liked to unroll my silverware and find it to be clean & spotless but alas. The server was very nice though. Upon leaving we wanted to take a nice picture outside (it was a special celebration). The flowerpots next to the entry were actually full of weeds, also the whole area surrounding the restaurant. So, all in all food & service were ok. Surroundings were not and there was a lot left for improvement.
Very outdated decor. One chanderler over an outdated booth. Food was greasy. best part was bread, fries and spinach dip, eventhough dip looked microwaved had like whole pieces of square cheese melted in bowl. Service was good. Shout out to the hostess and server you all did a great job.
My wife and I have dined here in the past. Excellent food and fantastic service. We went there this evening and again, the food was great. I got the Sunday special of all you can eat Crepes. They were fantastic. They looked so good that the couple sitting beside us got an order to go. Although our server was busy, she took the time to explain the special to us. She kept our water glasses full and was very attentive. Thank you for a great meal.
