You just cannot beat the excellent service and superbly prepared meals provided while dining at Mitchell’s Fish Market in Louisville, KY. This is by far my favorite place to have a nice meal. Pleasant and clean atmosphere, no fishy smells, like many seafood restaurants. The Staff are all awesome! All are friendly and make you feel welcome and important, going out of their way to be friendly. The Manager always comes to the table to see how we are enjoying our experience. Dine inside or outside on the covered patio. There seems to always be something going on in the courtyard to keep you entertained while your food is being prepared. Speaking of preparing food, it is always cooked to order. If you have not taken yourself and family there, you should do so soon. You will be pleased that did.

We visited MFM as part of a party of six on a Friday night. Scheduling was easy, service was great, the menu selections were ample, and the food was delicious. Will definitely be dining here again!

Our waiter was non-attentive to our table. We had to wait several minutes after arriving for him to ask for our drinks (they were not busy). Took awhile to take our order and once our order was taken it about 30 mins to get our food. Once the food arrived to the table, mine was cold, my husband's was warm and our friends were barely warm. My husband ordered cedar plank salmon that was not cooked on the cedar plank, just placed on top of a piece of cold unseasoned wood. Drinks were not refilled or asked if we wanted another. The manager did take my meal off, so that helped some. I will not be returning.

Always get great service from @Sabrina, @Andy, @Liza, @Chris, and @Anna. Managers Henry and Jenn are always courteous and ask me about the food and service received. Some feedback. I have never seen nor been approached by the GM listed on the door. I visit quite often and find this disturbing. That person should know their regular visitors.

In the past, service has been hit or miss. It has been over a year since our last visit. Giving them another try. On this day we had excellent friendly service. The food was good and cooked to order.

The service was terrible; our reservation was at 6:30pm and we got up from our table at 8:40pm and that was only because I insisted on our check when he served the desserts and coffee and gave him my credit card right away when he brought the check. It was awful; the restaurant was empty when we got up. We have been to Mitchell's often and that was the worse. I was so upset that I forgot to show him my Landry's card.

This was my first time trying Mitchell's although I live close by. I normally go to Brendan's or Ruth Chris for seafood dining. I ordered to-go. The gentleman who took my order came from the bar area and was very pleasant and personable. He offered something to drink while I waited (which I declined at that point) and advised that he would throw in some warm bread for me to try. When my order was ready, he showed me everything before bagging it up, which was much appreciated as many restaurants do not give that option when you order carryout. He, again, offered a drink and I accepted and asked if he could make an Arnold palmer with sweet tea. He said yes and brought my drink to-go with my bagged up order. The order was about $5 and some change higher than expected, but I was not shown an itemized receipt and didn't ask for one. I left a generous tip for his service and only thought about the difference in price later. Now, as far as the food, the crabcake was not the greatest. It was filled with bones. As I stated earlier, I often go to Brendan's or Ruth Chris for crabcakes and never have I had so many bones in my order. I won't be back for crabcakes here. The corn that came with the crabcake was good. The salmon was good. The potatoes were bland. The veggies were cooked well but with minimal flavor. The Arnold palmer that he made me was, by far, the absolute worse I've ever tasted. It was simply unsweetened tea and loads of fresh squeezed lemon. Absolutely terrible and what's worse is I believe that I was, indeed, charged for that tea. Long story short, I don't think they are the best choice for a premier seafood experience. I was a bit disappointed and tremendously disappointed in that drink. Probably not a good idea to insist on a drink that you would make so poorly.

We have read a lot of negative things on Nextdoor recently, but although we have had good service every time we’ve been to Mitchell’s, and we go a lot, we had the best service ever tonight thanks to a young man named Zach. Thank you!

Heard about this place from them being on the Louisville Restaurant Week list. Glad I tried it out because everything was spectacular! Their butternut squash soup is amazing. Our server was very attentive and food came out quickly. Can’t wait to come back :)

Friday in Lent & we went early, 5:15...no crowd at that time. We split the blackened cod with smashed red potatoes & vegetables (broccoli & carrots mostly) & the wedge salad. Service & food were very good.
