The food is spectacular. I have never had a bad meal here. Check out the pictures and choose for yourself.
This restaurant surprised us. Everything about this was excellent. Great services and timely, good recommendations, great bar tender, food was great and pricing was what you would expect for this type of service. I would put this in my top 3 places to eat in all of Louisville. Highly recommend trying this out.
The only thing that topped the food and craft cocktails was the amazing hostility of the staff.
We had a wonderful experience. Our first time there and we felt welcomed from the moment we walked in by the host then by the wonderful waitress. She explained the menu and went over my gluten free options. We started with oysters and shrimp cocktail then I had the Risotto with shrimp, calamari and lobster. It was so good. Probably one of the best dishes I've ever had. My husband had the tomahawk pork chop and it was everything he expected and more. The whole place was top notch. I highly recommend.
All I can say us wow. Everything was amazing, the place was cool, the food even better. Carolina was so attentive to my group and that made the experience that much greater. Best restaurant on Whiskey Row IMO!
Absolutely outstanding! Monk's Road Boiler House is hands-down one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The filet was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Every side dish was thoughtfully prepared and equally delicious, But the oysters? They might just be the best I've ever had, anywhere. The cocktails were to die for. Balanced, creative, and beautifully crafted. Whether you're a local or visiting, do yourself a favor and book a table—you won't regret it. Five stars all the way!
We enjoyed a cocktail down in the speakeasy and then went upstairs for dinner. Our server Eddie was fantastic and the food was amazing. I had the scallops with kale and my husband had the petite fillet with a baked potato. After dinner, we enjoyed a nightcap over in the bar with Logan, who was very knowledgeable about Monks Road and the Log Still facility in outside Bardstown, Kentucky. We'll definitely be back soon!
Great service and excellent food every time I come and this was no exception. For our party of 8, Chef Ciro planned a multi course dining experience. We were able to relax and taste all the delicious options that Monks Road had without making any decisions. The meatballs were a delicious mix of beef and pork along with the fresh seafood and shrimp and east coast oysters. The Caesar was crisp with long romaine and delicious cornbread croutons. We had several of the homemade pastas including the gnocchi which was my favorite. They brought different cuts of the wagu beef on a cutting board which sliced like butter. Don't skip the potato puree and asparagus which are silky and rich with butter. The in house desserts were all new options and complemented with locally made ice cream. Service is attentive and our wine selections were on point by Marc, the sommelier. Worth the price for an unforgettable evening with friends.
We went to Monks Road for Father's Day and had a great dinner. The steaks were amazing, the pasta was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a special night out. Highly recommend!
Stephan was an incredible waiter. Excellent wine suggestions and pairing. The food was excellent and cooled to perfection. The service was excellent. Never had to ask for a thing.

Incredible food and service once again! We had a group dinner and our server recommended a good combination of shareable items so that we could get a cross section of the menu. Cocktails were fantastic too!!
We went with a group of nine. We were late for our reservation because of transportation issues, and they were very accommodating. Unfortunately, because we were running late, we didn't have time for a leisurely full dinner and ended up having a variety of appetizers instead. I had the meatballs and they were delicious, probably some of the best I've ever had. Our waiter was great--I think his name was Teddy.
We had a wonderful evening at Monk's last night. Carolina took very good care of us. The food, atmosphere and service was perfect. We will definitely be back again!
Good atmosphere and nice addition to the downtown dining options. Nice menu variety and drink options.
First time at Monk's Road and we had a great time. The oysters and shrimp cocktail were great starts and the steaks were delicious!! The wild mushrooms and broccolini were a hit too! The only not so tasty thing was rhe mac n cheese which is hard for most restaurants to do. Our server Carolina was super fun and made our experience great! Would definitely go again!
