Menu changes constantly. Had a nice appetizer, can’t remember the name but 4 balls of potatos with sausage centers and a crispy shell. White chicken chili was the star but the brat with red cabbage was a close second. Caesar salad was a poor choice and didn’t seem to have all the advertised ingredients which made it bland. Tuxedo cake was great (chef’s kiss!)

Food was good, however some things extremely overpriced for what was given. We ordered the german potato croquettes. It was 14 dollars for 4 medium basically mashed potato balls. It also said they came with bacon bourbon jam which ours did not. Also, when my husband asked if he could sub out the cabbage that came with his schnitzel for something else they said he could. Usually when you are told you can sub something that means you won't be charged extra or they will tell you. He got fries instead of cabbage. When you pay your bill you don't get to see the receipt the waiter just brings a device to the table and tells you your total. We'll we paid and had the receipt sent by text. When we looked at the itemized bill they charged us full price for the fries. Otherwise the food was good.

The food is good. I had the special linguini with blackened salmon, and my BF had the steak frites, and both were good. The service was not good and confusing. One person took the drinks and appetizer order. Once we finished the appetizer, I had to go grab someone from the group of ladies just chatting the whole time for a different person to come take our entree order. The hostess cleared our dishes and checked on us better than anyone, even though it wasn't her position, and a fourth person eventually came over to see if we needed anything and helped us pay. We probably won't be coming back for a bit. Hopefully, they can train the staff in what they are doing, cause they either didn't know or didn't care, except for the hostess. She was fabulous.

Extremely rude employees, they seemed prejudice against people of color, even in management! The restaurant appeared disorganized and the food was below average. Don’t bother wasting your money.

1st visit to this establishment. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for the worst meals we have ever had. Do not go for the food. Seriously disappointed. Maybe this night was a one off but would not take a chance and waste that much time and money again.

My partner and I recently stopped in for an afternoon snack and ordered the charcuterie board. Chef Wes did a wonderful job with his meat and cheese pairings, as well as adding my favourite green olives. My partner loved the variety accoutrements, thought that the price point was fair for a filling shareable, and is looking forward to our next visit

I'm on the lookout for specials on good eats. I feel like I hit the jackpot at Monnik Beer in Germantown. Their sides are $3 at lunchtime. Hub and I split a lion's mane sandwich with 3 sides: pickled cabbage, grilled broccolini and stamppot....mashed potatoes with carrots and kale. So good! Love Monnik s menu everyday but love their lunch special even more. They have a really nice atmosphere, outside seating, great service and upscale pub and healthy food items. Of course the beer and drinks menu is great with fun non alcoholic choices. I tell the bartender what I like and they create a mocktail for me. Nice garden outback that is good for kids. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants and with good prices.

First tried some of their beer during the Schnitzelburg Walk and really enjoyed it. Recently decided to stop in to try the food and had the hardest time picking something because everything sounded so good. Landed on the Korean fried cauliflower, salmon with broccolini, and the Anansi cocktail. I wish I had taken pictures because the plating was fantastic, but I was too busy enjoying it because both dishes were delicious. The KFC is incredibly flavourful and crispy, and the salmon tasted fresh and was nice and flaky. I think it paired really well with the sauce and the veggies that came on the side.
Overall the staff was very friendly and easy to talk to, and the food came out crazy fast. I'll definitely add it to my rotation of favourite spots.

Great experiences to be had at Monnik, from the delicious food to the overall atmosphere it's an awesome pub. But when I say pub, don't get confused, the food is elevated and not what you might be thinking. I had the salmon with the IPA cream sauce and was blown away. Their chef is really creative and is bringing new life to the place with the new menu items!

We want to love this place so badly since it’s so close to our house. Overall the beer, cocktails and food are good but overpriced, but the most disappointing thing about is place is the poor service. One member of the wait staff seemed to be picking up everyone’s slack when our own waiter decided he was done working for the night. Our food was brought to us cold since man bun was super busy flirting with the bar tender. What a shame, wasn’t even busy.
