It's a really fun and unique place but the star of the show is the food! We had 6 different entrees and everyone thought theirs was delicious. Service was very good and our server was entertaining and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The outdoor patio was awesome. Food was amazing, even the chicken fingers and French fries from the kids menu was an huge hit, it was served in a little cardboard car! Our server was fantastic. We will definitely come back every time we're in town!

The food was excellent, we had a pitcher of the pineapple/coconut Cuba Coladas-SO good;the chicken nachos, also excellent, Two of us had the pork dinners( one fried,one not, both very good. One had salmon entree, it was fabulous. We were too full for a dessert, but they brought us a slice of chocolate cake for our anniversary! Overall an excellent experience! It is pretty loud, so if you want a quieter atmosphere, look elsewhere, but for a upbeat, party. vibe this is a great choice!

I had heard a lot of good things about this place and turns out they were all true. The decor immediately made me feel like I was in Cuba, not Louisville. Our waiter was so adorable and helpful with suggestions for appetizers and drinks, we had the Testones and Cuban Nachos with the Sangria. The appetizer portions were huge and delicious, so we didn't order entrees. I had mentioned it was my friend's Birthday, and at the end of the meal, our waiter brought her a piece of dark chocolate cake along with a Happy Birthday serenade by a very talented saxophone player. All in all, it was a delightful experience and I will be back!!

Great ambiance and a festive air at La Boguedita. Good was delicious. The black beans and rice were so good I ate them before my steak. Desserts were also delicious and fantastic. The cigar was both fun and a great taste experience.

Highly recommended if staying in Louisville. Their Cuban dishes were abundant and seasoned to perfection. The outdoor cigar lounge was a plus. The service and exotic mixed drinks made for a perfect evening. We will definitely come back. 5 stars!!!

In addition,some restaurants have great food but the service is not consistent. Some places have good service and , not so consistent food , some places have adaquate service, and inconsistent food quality and well you know what I'm trying to say. There are very good restaurants all over don't get me wrong but this one hits the mark every visit. I'm so proud of this restaurant and happy to recommend it to everyone. Everything great in a restaurant is attached to La Bodeguita De Mima! Every detail is attended to, every! The staff go beyond with high marks. The food is always consistent and excellent, especially your wonderful sauces. The atmosphere and music is so comfortably inviting.Thank you La Bodequita for your all-around excellence ! If I was a food critic , you would be famous!

Our experience was mediocre, with drinks taking a long time to come out and the food being hit or miss. The Cubanchos were good, as was the tropical salad, but my Pollo Imperial was super salty and the chicken was tough. The music was VERY loud and it seemed like every table had someone with a birthday. Having a bongo drum and other percussion instruments plus a lengthy birthday chant interrupt dinner every 10 minutes was annoying. We won't be back.
