Excellent all of the way around. Like everywhere these days, they're in need of additional help (servers).

Listen. If you're in the area, thinking about where you should eat, take this into advisory.Picture this: you walk in, greeted by the most friendly, courteous and attentive staff! Then, you find something on the menu you find appetizing and itnshows up and blows yournexpectatuosn out of the water.... then when the check comes yourenpleasantly surprised and realize all the other spots are over priced over rated and under deliver.Go to to nic and Norman's ask for Alyssa and tell her devin sent you and prepare to see where the bar is set for exquisite dining with a friendly and inviting atmosphere that will make even the first timer feel like a local regular! I highly advise just asking to be surprised when it comes to.chossing from the extremely diverse menu that delivers with every punch!

Super disappointed. It took over 20 min to receive our cocktail order and one of the drinks was wrong. Our appetizers came out before the drinks. It took over an hour to receive our meals. There was one other table in the entire restaurant. One of the meals was bad as in the food was spoiled. The server was inept. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is that the GM is brand new and came over to apologize. She was really great and ended up comping a large portion of the bill. I am hopeful she can turn things around there, but it will be an uphill battle. The pickle fries were really tasty.

My family and I chose Nic & Norman's as our first dining spot upon arriving in Louisville, and what a fantastic decision that turned out to be! We ordered the Mexican Burger and the Fried Chicken Pot Pie, both of which were absolutely delicious. The Mexican Burger was a standout. My wife proclaimed it the best burger she has ever had, with the patty cooked to perfection and seasoned impeccably. As for me, I was equally impressed by the Fried Chicken Pot Pie. It was savory, hearty, and filled with flavor. Both my daughter and I agreed it was among the best we’ve ever tasted.I highly recommend Nic & Norman's to anyone visiting or living in Louisville. The food is top-notch, and the flavors are sure to impress. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable meal in the heart of the city.

Omg New spot, & doing it right! I love The Walking Dead & come to find out "Darrell" is one of the owners!! *Star crushing here* I met a client here for work for lunch. They gave a very wallet friendly lunch $10 a plate. And not skimpy like super filling lunches. We ordered the burger, chix bacon ranch flatbread & quesadilla. It was delish, out waitress Lauren was friendly & on point. I highly recommend it.. I'm going back but taking my wife for dinner!

The location of this restaurant is a little out of the way. The atmosphere was good with lots of cool pictures. I ordered a chicken burger with fries and a beer. They had a small selection of beer on tap, which was disappointing but the variety of food on the menu makes up for it. I had a tough time deciding what I wanted. I asked a lot of questions of my wait staff ... which leads me to my comments about service. The waitress seemed annoyed by my questions and I happened to follow behind her to use the restroom as she put my order in and I heard her complaining about me/mocking me to the other wait staff. Not a huge deal... I'm an adult... but it should serve as a reminder to her to be aware of her surroundings if she going to poke fun at the people who pay her.The food was excellent and there was plenty of it!

I had the Salmon and it was horrible. The mashed potatoes were just as bad. But I still love the walking dead.

Had lunch and drinks here with a group of friends and was extremely pleased. My drink, long Island ice tea, wasn't as strong as they usually are but was still pretty good. We shared appetizers since they were so big! The food was delicious. I'll definitely be going back.

We were in Louisville for two nights and we challenged our 12 year old pescatarian with researching and picking a restaurant for dinner. The kid looked up a bunch of places and liked Nic & Norman's menu the best. After looking over the online menu as parents, we agreed with the choice. After tasting the food, we truly appreciated our kid finding this restaurant! My wife and I both ended up ordering Nic & Norman's Salad for our meals (me with salmon, her with shrimp). We both agreed the salad was delicious. The candied pecans were such a delightful sweet touch to a salad full of fresh greens. I don't like goat cheese, so I got mine with feta instead and that made me happy. I also got a side of Brussels sprouts, which were tossed with bacon and quite flavorful. I took a star away from service because of this side dish, however. I told the waitress I didn't want goat cheese on my salad because I didn't like it. She should have told me that the Brussels also come with goat cheese (which isn't mentioned on the menu). I was disappointed that the Brussels were tossed with something I said I didn't like. Although I was mostly unable to eat around the cheese, the flavor was still present. Our kid got fish and chips and if was a great choice. The fish was only lightly battered (which is what our kid prefers) and the breading was seasoned so well. We all enjoyed sharing in bites of that meal.As for atmosphere, the ambiance was just okay. The walls had pictures of random people hung up in frames, which we thought were musicians, but they could have been anybody. There was no context or labels or explanations. Also our first table we were given was very wobbly. Not from the bottom with an offset foot or anything, but at the top where the tabletop connects to the post. It was obvious to us as soon as we sat down. It should have been obvious the the staff when cleaning the table off previously or to the hostess when seating us and putting menus down. It shouldn't require a patron to ask to move to get attention to an issue like this. All things considered, Nic & Norman's is a great restaurant for a casual meal while hanging out or watching sports on TV. It had a really relaxed and casual feel to it. And the food was surprisingly delicious and high quality for a place that, at first glance, looked like just a standard non descript sports bar. We'd definitely go back next time we're in town.Vegetarian options: Our 12 year old pescatarian picked this place out because of the flat breads, but got the fish and chips instead. Plenty of salad choices too.Parking: There was street parking around, but it seemed crowded and would be a challenge to find. We walked from our hotel half a mile away.Kid-friendliness: Our 12 year old picked this place out based on the menu. Not sure this is the best place to bring youngsters, but kids should find something to make them happy.

4.5 Stars. The food was very well seasoned and prepared, and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend. Very pleased, and would definitely come back. I had the Nic-N-Chicken, which was delicious. The hostess was unable to seat us at a table, even though it was a Sunday and there were empty tables. She said they were short on service staff. We sat at the bar and ordered dinner, and it was a little slow. The bartender was wonderful, but overwhelmed due to having to serve meals in addition to drinks.
