I LOVE this place! The food is great! The service is great! It's close to my Highlands home! I'm SO sad it's going away!!!!!
One of my best brunch experiences. The food was great and made with fresh, high quality ingredients. Prices were reasonable and our server, Kayla, was fun and attentive.
great place will definitely be going back for the food and service the wife and i had the hearty breakfast mine with sausage and bacon hers was with a veggie
I actually loved the meal we had there last night. However after leaving my friends realized they were missing money and credit cards, and now are dealing with thousands of dollars charged and taken from their bank account. I am hoping this is made right by the North End. Be very cautious if dining there.
Three of us for lunch and as usual it was so goo! One had pancakes and bacon, I had a pulled pork sandwich and another had a Rueben. The pulled pork was very good....messy but good and I liked the addition of just enough slaw to top it and potato salad on the side. The pickles and diced red onion were a perfect accompaniment. The Rueben had lots of tender corned beef (I am also obsessed with the corned beef hash) and a fresh side salad with blue cheese dressing. The pancakes were perfect as usual with a fresh fruit compote, crumbles and whipped cream and crisp bacon. A very enjoyable ladies' lunch!
Visited for lunch on Friday. Arrived after 1pm and was surprised to be told by the hostess that we would have a ten minute wait. The restaurant was less than 2/3 full and there were only two tables occupied on the patio outside. We sat at the bar. No one asked if we wanted a drink. The hostess never glanced at us or updated us on our wait even though 3 or 4 parties departed the restaurant while we sat wondering what was going on. After 15 minutes we walked out. There are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance. We had a nice meal elsewhere.
I'm basing this review only on what we ate on this visit, which was just french fries and cornmeal pancakes. The fries were probably the best I've ever had. They fry them in peanut oil, but more important than that, the oil must have been very fresh. The corn meal pancakes were fantastic. They are served with real maple syrup (warm) and real butter too.
I was extremely disappointed in this place. I try to support local businesses and have driven past many times so when I had a little free time I decided to stop in. I ordered an omelette and home fries. The "omelette" was basically just eggs laid over the toppings and the home fries looked like they came from Denny's at 2am. Nothing was seasoned either. This plate, orange juice and coffee came to over $16. Definitely not worth it. Sad to say that I won't be returning again.
Every time I have eaten here I have been pleasantly surprised. Each new dish I try is better than the last. And the service and atmosphere just add to the appeal. I can't wait until it gets warm so I can enjoy the outside dining area!
Good staff, excellent food, large portions, if that's important to you. I couldn't eat all mine. Great vegetarian options! Gluten free options. The bathroom needs a little help, the toilet runs in the first stall, I forgot to tell them. And there is a hole in the floor by the bar. I did step right into it and hurt my ankle, but not terrible. The sign was not covering it.... eye flutter. Over all I loved it and will return.
