Delightful! A creative and cozy menu, fun drinks and atmosphere, and great service (our waitress truly seems like the type of person who would easily brighten up a room!)

Host had an attitude and was angry about clearing a table for us to sit down.

I was so excited to try Nostalgic, but I was throughly disappointed. The host was so seemingly uninterested in her job and I totally get having a bad day, but it felt like we inconvenienced her by asking to be sat. Then we ordered fish sticks and I found a huge black hair in my sauce (I have blonde hair). Then we found another hair in our water. The food itself was amazing. I have no complaints. Then my mom got a cup that was stained, cracked, and filled with bacteria. The chef and our waitress were awesome. The hostess and the cleanliness was the issue. Insane that we spent easily over 100 dollars and couldn’t even get hairless food. I felt so bad we complained so much but truthfully, it was disappointing. The food is great though so if there is a “to-go” option, do that. Just make sure you don’t get a hair.

Our group of 4 had an absolute blast here! The menu is extensive, the service was absolutely stellar and the drinks were so good. The place itself is sooooo cool. The decor is amazing. Really cool spot that we will frequent after just moving close by!

Stopped by Nostalgic on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy yet. The bartender really made our day—super knowledgeable and creative! We just told them our favorite liquors and what kind of flavors we like, and they whipped up some incredible drinks for our group. Everything was spot-on. It’s the perfect spot to chill, listen to good music and enjoying some well-crafted cocktails. I have not had the chance to try the food yet.

Worst experience for a large party, would not recommend. We had a group of 11 people, they required a set menu at $85 per person that would include 2 dedicated servers which I was willing to do so there wouldn’t be such a strain on the kitchen and service wouldn’t be slow. We only had one server, and she was shared with another large party so to say the service was awful is an understatement. Multiple times we had to get up and just grab our own plates or silverware because she had 0 help - she did the best she could for being a new server with no help. Dishes that came out were awful, oysters weren’t edible as the ice below them was melted and they were swimming in the water. Food was cold, two people moved to the bar just to get service and ate there - 2 other people just completely left it was so bad. I asked for the manager, who helped us set this up, Catherine multiple times - and each time the server would just go im so sorry ive asked her to come over and i dont know what to say. It took almost an hour to get drinks, hour and a half for any food to come out and the cherry on top was that they were cleaning and doing shut down around us while we were barely finishing our dinner. In 3 hours Catherine couldn’t find the time to come talk to me. I emailed them before writing this review to give them the opportunity to make things right, no response. If you’re in town for the Derby take your business somewhere that will appreciate it.

Always a great time when we visit Nostalgic, the food is amazing, bartenders and atmosphere are top notch. Love our seats at the end of the bar. Highly recommend to check out for a snack and drink or brunch and dinner.

Being served a welcome drink upon arrival sets the tone for outstanding service all around. The atmosphere inside and outside stand out as a must visit place for any occasion. Our server was attentive and patient as we were waiting on a few other guest to arrive for a class reunion meeting. We met for drinks and to converse around 830pm.Although I didn’t have any food all my friends enjoyed their apps and meals.I will return with my wife on our next night out without the kids.

My husband and i had been here for brunch previously and really enjoyed it. We decided to bring some out of town guests in today and it was not nearly as great an experience. 2 of the 4 ordered steak and eggs. One med one MR. Both steaks were very rare. I ordered the breakfast plate, over easy eggs. One was over med. one was over hard. There’s an amuse of mini fried donuts. Ours were brought out after apps and we were asked to poke one to see if it was too burnt. The one we poked seemed ok but the others were rock hard. I would think if food is suspected to be burnt or improperly cooked, they’d just redo it vs asking us to test it. By the time we were checked on to see if the food was okay, we had finished what we were gonna eat so didn’t really have a chance to ask for the food to be corrected. We boxed up the steak to cook up at home as we didn’t want to sit and wait for a recook at that point. All kind of minor things that added up and for a close to $200 brunch for four, I’d hoped for better. (For reference we ordered a mimosa pitcher for $28, but no other alcohol).
