Always a great time when we visit Nostalgic, the food is amazing, bartenders and atmosphere are top notch. Love our seats at the end of the bar. Highly recommend to check out for a snack and drink or brunch and dinner.

Being served a welcome drink upon arrival sets the tone for outstanding service all around. The atmosphere inside and outside stand out as a must visit place for any occasion. Our server was attentive and patient as we were waiting on a few other guest to arrive for a class reunion meeting. We met for drinks and to converse around 830pm.Although I didn’t have any food all my friends enjoyed their apps and meals.I will return with my wife on our next night out without the kids.Parking: Bardstown Road so you must find your own parking spot.

My husband and i had been here for brunch previously and really enjoyed it. We decided to bring some out of town guests in today and it was not nearly as great an experience. 2 of the 4 ordered steak and eggs. One med one MR. Both steaks were very rare. I ordered the breakfast plate, over easy eggs. One was over med. one was over hard. There’s an amuse of mini fried donuts. Ours were brought out after apps and we were asked to poke one to see if it was too burnt. The one we poked seemed ok but the others were rock hard. I would think if food is suspected to be burnt or improperly cooked, they’d just redo it vs asking us to test it. By the time we were checked on to see if the food was okay, we had finished what we were gonna eat so didn’t really have a chance to ask for the food to be corrected. We boxed up the steak to cook up at home as we didn’t want to sit and wait for a recook at that point. All kind of minor things that added up and for a close to $200 brunch for four, I’d hoped for better. (For reference we ordered a mimosa pitcher for $28, but no other alcohol).

The signature cocktails were top-notch. The bartender was personable without being intrusive. The place has a quiet, classy atmosphere. Honestly, it's one of the best bars in the highlands right now.

Came here with a friend and absolutely loved it! The decor is adorable and has some of the old school vibes. The menu is a decent size. I thought the menu allowed for options of all different diets (vegans and vegetarians). The drink menu is so cool and unique . Has many cocktails representing various time periods. Also, their house cocktails were fun. I ordered the war head margarita and it def was not as sour as I thought. It was sweet and a decent pour. Could have been stronger but not bad for what it was. My friend got the oatmeal cream pie drink. She said it was good but didn't taste like like an oatmeal cream pie. We ordered the chicken nuggs and onion rings appetizer and both were outstanding. I ordered the steak and frites and was surprised they had a new york strip option that night. I ordered the steak medium rare. It definitely wasn't medium rare, but it was still good. My friend ordered the crab cakes (I think lol or the croquettes) and the salad. Her salad was HUGE even though it was an appetizer. The service was great! The servers were dressed in the theme and I def dressed in the theme. Overall I give this place an A rating! My only criticism is the steak not being cooked correctly, but they also aren't a steakhouse.

I had the best experience here! I love the vibes and the drinks are so good. Kaden did such a great job. They were so informative about drinks and food options. They also made the best cocktails. Wonderful customer service from the whole staff I will definitely be

I'll start by saying the hostess and our server were great and the atmosphere was nice. I ordered the oatmeal cream pie old fashion and it was fine. My wife ordered the margarita and received a bourbon glass filled to the rim with ice and about 4 ounces of a margarita for $13. That should have been the first red flag of entitlement. We ordered the corn bread appetizer to share, the beef short rib for myself, and the roasted chicken for my wife. Corn bread was what you would expect, that was about it. The beef short rib was cold and dry and the chef used the plate to create a swimming pool for the sauce that over ran the mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. My best guess for this was to hide how cold and dry the beef short rib was and to compensate for the completely unseasoned Brussel sprouts. The roasted chicken my wife ordered came out trying to peck the crumbs of cornbread and when she cut into it the chicken it laid an egg it was so underdone. We politely asked the server to have the chicken cooked all the way through. She took the chicken back only to return in less than a minute and the chicken untouched. Our poor waitress was told by the entitled chef to inform us that the chicken was prepared sous vide and was fine. The audacity to return rubbery, undercooked cooked chicken was appalling and the waitress brought us the manager who informed us the meal would be taken care of. The distaste for how the chef handled the situation left us with no appetite (the undercooked chicken / cold and dry beef rib didn't help) and we asked for our check. The bad taste in our mouth worsened when the check was brought out and they had only taken 40% off of the roasted chicken plate. This place has potential but has many issues to address, especially at this price point. Will not return nor recommend. To Catherine M.: I appreciate the offer of a $50 gift card, you can apply that generously to any guests meal you please because we will not be using it. Calling us liars does not prompt customer satisfaction. We should have taken pictures because my wife had two initial bites and then never touched her chicken again. Reading through the reviews of Nostalgic we were not the only ones to have a displeasurable food experience. The common denominator in all of your negative reviews is your kitchen, you've offered $50 gift cards to all. It's an olive branch but evidence that you have not addressed the problem. Instead of reflecting so deeply on picking my review apart apply that method to your chefs and yourself and watch your success blossom tenfold. I wish you the best.

Food menu was somewhat limited because they are in the process of changing it but the burrito and milk cereal drink was AMAZING.

Service was great, cocktails were great, food was not. We both had cod which was inedible. The vegetables served with the fish were overcooked and tasteless. We actually went next door and got a couple of appetizers because we were hungry.

We went to Nostalgic for my birthday. Jenna really went above and beyond to make it a memorable night. The food and service were outstanding! The restaurant was very clean and well decorated.
