I stopped by Old Louisville Brewery just to try a little of their beer, but it was open mic night and ended up being one of the better stops during my time in the city. Live accordion music was playing when I first came in, and it changed to storytelling while I enjoyed my drinks. The beer was good, but the place had an even better atmosphere. It’s very welcoming, and definitely seems to be a community hub for its regulars. I’d definitely stop by again if I’m in Louisville.
Stumbled across this place by pure coincidence. I'm so happy I did! An absolute gem. Was told upon entering that this place was the Cheers of Louisville i.e. everyone knows your name. I was skeptical, but it was totally accurate. By the time I left, I felt like part of the community, which is what this brewery is all about. The owner/brewer and his wife were there. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about beers. Everything I tried was on point. The service was great too! Definitely a solid local brewery!
