I ordered my steak medium and it came very rare which was okay but our waitress didn't come back for over 15 mins by then my husband was done eating. They offered to remake or send me home with another even dessert and comped all our sides so that was nice and I'll go back just kinda BLAH on our one date night we didn't get to eat together. The Mac and cheese was a little dry but still good and the carrots were undercooked. Very hard still. Bread, drinks, and my husband steak that he wanted med rare was cooked medium and it was good! It's no Ruth's Chris, Brendan catch or Jeff ruby's but it was okay. Atmosphere was beautiful.
As always dinner was delicious! Our server, Jessi is always an added bonus with impeccable service! Thanks also to Devon for ensuring our evening was filled with delicious food and fun atmosphere.
The food was just ok. My expectations were high. The food portion for my meal was very small for the value. I had the stuffed chicken breast, which was more like a chicken tender. For my experience and food was not worth the price. Dessert was ok. Drinks were pretty good.
Firstly the ambiance and setting of Oliver's Chophouse and Bourbon bar is well made and gave us a welcoming feel and set us at ease before we had sat down. Our Server, Devin, who I give TALL praises, went above and beyond to provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and wine pairings and offered some nice conversation to keep the mood light. The young science enthusiast who brought our food to our table, named Stephen, did so with excellent accuracy and a friendly attitude, he must hold a critical position within the restaurant. We were surprised by a visit by the impeccably dressed and distinguished manager named Jones, who looks and acts as though he was plucked from a Hollywood set with a mission to create one of Louisville's finest restaurants. The Executive Chef named Alex also stopped by to check in on how we were enjoying the food, and did so with a warm smile and an ear for our comments, he is the real deal and had recently redesigned the menu for the new season, well done. The food was well made and very tasty, and our courses arrived at a nice pace so that we had time to eat and settle our food before the next course arrived. The Sea Bass was succulent and cooked perfectly with a delicious broth which you'll want a spoon for. The Short Rib fell apart on the fork and was very rich with flavors, paired very well with the buttery mashed potatoes it was set atop along with a delicious gravy, I recommend adding mushrooms for an enhanced experience! We had delicious cocktails, all made well and were fairly priced. My favorite which I had was called "Englishman in Kentucky" and was a twist on the Old Fashioned with Earl Gray and Lemon, I should have drank two! All around, everyone of the staff were friendly, the food was astounding, and we had a very memorable night.
Not a 5 star restaurant. My husband had the lamb chops and it was literally 7 bits of meat. The short rib was dry and tough. I wasn't given utensils after sending mine to kitchen with the dirty dishes. I ended up having to use my husbands butter knife. Just wasn't good quality like the other 5 star restaurants we've been to.
Service is always great Mr. Jones seems to run that program and my favorite staff members and Jacob and Nick. I recommend this place to all my friends for the service and the food.

A friend hosted a lovely dinner here while I was in town for the Worlds Championship Horse Show. Sara was wonderful and took great care of us for the dinner. The food was outstanding, I had the Short Rib. I definitely will be back whenever I’m in Louisville again!

We went to Oliver’s last and was so excited to try it! The service was great don’t get me wrong. But the food was lackluster. We ordered the oysters and they were the size of a dime. The tiniest things I’ve ever seen. Then my main dish came! I got the duck, there was so flavor at all. I ask how everyone’s else’s meals were since they all got steak! Same thing, no flavor. I love a good meal and I was super disappointed. The truffle fries were good at least!

We had a fantastic experience at Oliver’s. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. Evan, our waiter, was an absolute pleasure—friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of throughout the evening. One highlight was the My Old Kentucky Home Old Fashioned—smooth, perfectly balanced, and a great nod to local flavor. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality paired with such a refined setting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable night out.

I am 2 months behind on leaving my review and I am sorry for that. Oliver's was above & beyond my expectations in every way. I had done something special and out of the norm for my mother for mother's day and made reservations for us to experience their venue for our first time. The hostesses were inviting, our server was exceptional and on point with anything we needed (we have been very pleased with our server and the staff). The food , appetizer, salad, main coarse and last yummy dessert were all worth the wait and price. I will definitely be a repeat customer and hope to bring someone new to experience the marvelousness as I did. Thank you for everything.

We can always count on Oliver's CHOP HOUSE for an amazing experience and quality, dining and very attentive staff. My husband enjoyed his filet mignon to the max. Perfectly prepared the three of us had an abundance of appetizers, shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half shell, seafood bisque, crabcakes, etc. Each one out doing the other. You absolutely must pick from their desserts, even if you share. Oliver's manager, Christopher Jones, out does the others. We believe he is the reason the staff works so well together and seems to enjoy their jobs. We definitely will be back soon. Thank you for another amazing experience.
Ordered the grill NY strip steak, a little to much fat for my taste, sides were a bit costly , baked potato was good, along with crab cake
A wonderful solo-dining experience. French onion soup was very tasty. Sea bass was perfectly grilled, and portion was quite generous. Heirloom carrots were wonderful, with a very light glaze. Of course, the biscuits and focaccia were great, with Oliver's regular whipped butter and also the strawberry whipped butter. And the perfect ending was peach cobbler cheesecake. Oh my! I was only able to finish half of each item ordered because I wanted to save room for the cheesecake. My server was Jacob, and he was outstanding, as are all their servers. I really enjoyed my dinner.
