Oliver's Chop House & Bourbon Bar at Derby City Gaming and Hotel

We can always count on Oliver's CHOP HOUSE for an amazing experience and quality, dining and very attentive staff. My husband enjoyed his filet mignon to the max. Perfectly prepared the three of us had an abundance of appetizers, shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half shell, seafood bisque, crabcakes, etc. Each one out doing the other. You absolutely must pick from their desserts, even if you share. Oliver's manager, Christopher Jones, out does the others. We believe he is the reason the staff works so well together and seems to enjoy their jobs. We definitely will be back soon. Thank you for another amazing experience.

Ordered the grill NY strip steak, a little to much fat for my taste, sides were a bit costly , baked potato was good, along with crab cake

A wonderful solo-dining experience. French onion soup was very tasty. Sea bass was perfectly grilled, and portion was quite generous. Heirloom carrots were wonderful, with a very light glaze. Of course, the biscuits and focaccia were great, with Oliver's regular whipped butter and also the strawberry whipped butter. And the perfect ending was peach cobbler cheesecake. Oh my! I was only able to finish half of each item ordered because I wanted to save room for the cheesecake. My server was Jacob, and he was outstanding, as are all their servers. I really enjoyed my dinner.

I had never been to Oliver’s Chop House before. We had dinner there last night for my birthday. We had the best time and the food was delicious!! But the best part was our server Devin Mattingly. He took such good care of us, like we were his only guests for the night. Kind, personable and very attentive. I will definitely be going back and taking my friends with me. And we will make sure to ask for Devin!! I recommend you do as well. Excellent!⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our party of 8 had an amazing evening! Oliver's Chop House is an excellent top notch restaurant. Our waiter was amazing and attended to every need we had, including taking care of a couple of food allergies in our group. The food is amazing!!! It's hard to say which dish was our favorite but the meatball appetizer is one of the favorites. Thanks for a wonderful birthday experience!

Stellar as usual! Brandon is the absolute gold standard for servers. The food is always fantastic. The watermelon caprese salad super tasty. Prime strip was cooked perfectly. And the maple bacon bourbon cheesecake was so yummy. The bartender is an artist with the smoked old fashion cocktails.

As always, my experience at Oliver's was great. Our dinners(Rib-eye and short ribs) were excellent. The service was also top notch. Will definitely eat there again. Thanks for a great meal!

Love Oliver's Chop House! Everything is perfection. We had the bourbon maple glazed pork chop and short ribs. Delicious! They have great seasonal cocktails and wine options too. And, Jacob- thank you for providing us a great service experience!

Jessi our server, did a great job. BBQ meatball app was really good. My filet was overcooked and my husband's burger was like a hockey puck. Other apps and sides were good but a steakhouse should do amazing beef. They did not.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoy Oliver's Chophouse. The food is amazing each and every time. The mood and lighting is always perfect. But the main reason we dine here once a month is by far the staff. It is the professional service and attention to detail that we enjoy. Jacob and Devin have always been out waiters and let me tell you they are amazing (5star)! We keep coming back just for the way we are ALWAYS treated at this establishment and it goes all the way up the chain to management. The overall experience was wonderful. The food was great and the service was fantastic. The server was friendly and kept everything clean and updated, but I don't remember her name. I was there for my granddaughter 21ST BIRTHDAY and she really enjoyed everything. It was a new experience for her being in a restaurant in a casino.

I took my brother there for dinner tonight. I have been to Oliver several times. The staff and the food are always excellent. I have had surgery on my mouth and I ordered some pasta which was wonderful, but I couldn't eat it so I ordered some French onion soup and they did not charge me for the pasta. Now that's a class act and so  courteous. Celebrating my anniversary next month with my husband at Oliver's.I will be able to eat anything on the menu and I can't wait.

The steaks were tender, but none of the food had any seasonings. The price was just ridiculous.
