Had a wonderful meal. The brussel sprouts appetizer is excellent. We also got the steak frites and the pork belly. Both were good, but I felt the steak was the better of the two.
Was visiting from out of town with my boyfriend and wanted to have dinner out one night - picked Ostra and they did not disappoint! We ordered the duck grilled cheese and jackfruit sandwich. Both were really unique flavors. I especially recommend the duck grilled cheese - would come back just for that! We also had a brownie and homemade whipped cream for dessert - was a dense brownie with chocolate chunks-delicious! All of the staff were kind, welcoming, and attentive. Had an amazing experience and looking forward to coming back!
I was craving Oysters even $4/ea Oysters. Out of the half dozen. One was slightly off and two had shell pieces in them. The drinks were good and the fish tacos are tasty. Overall you can tell they try to use quality ingredients and provide a different fare. I say go check them out.
The flavors and artistry from this kitchen are absolutely killer! We sat on the patio. Amazing dining experience!
Food is always gorgeous. Staff is so welcoming. Makes you feel like you’re coming home every time. Oysters are
This place is amazing, for many reasons. The decor inside is intimate and unique with relaxed lighting. The outdoor patio is beautifully set overlooking the Hilltop building on Frankfort avenue, and has fans placed intelligently to make it a nice place even on the hottest of days. The menu is small but lovingly crafted with well-balanced and adventurous flavor combinations. Exotic tacos, fresh and creative entrees, and specials to die for adorn their offerings. The signature cocktails are all exciting, and the bar staff is passionate about meeting the customer's needs. The servers are genuine and friendly. Our server Kelsey was both attentive and engaging on both occasions that we have been, and she has a natural authenticity that can be rare in corporate restaurants. The owner is a warm smile disguised as a tall thin man named Chris. This gentle bohemian giant appears utterly incapable of being in a bad mood and brings that energy to his restaurant. So go give Ostra a try if you have not. They are a wonderful gem in Clifton bringing culinary excellence in a relaxed atmosphere, with a motley crew staff of fascinatingly unique individuals. -Richard Tyler Rowley
Really nice cuisine and enjoyable atmosphere. Food was fantastic
Wonderful food by wonderful chefs! Excellent service with the coolest atmosphere!
Food flavor is wonderful with the perfect portion. Atmosphere also is really cool and the staff is super friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We ate here last night. It was AMAZING. We started with the Tuna Poke appetizer. I had the veggie pasta, which may be one of my favorite pastas I've ever eaten! My boyfriend had the pork belly. There are not enough words to describe how good that dish was. We hope it makes it to the regular menu! The desserts are perfect. I am not sure I'll be able to find another Creme Brulee like the blueberry one!! Kelsey was was our server. We will definitely ask for her, again. She was super knowledgeable about the menu, and the drinks we asked about. Can't wait to visit again, soon!!

Got to see two members of Mama Said string band, great performance! Food and drinks were pleasing, a wonderful local place.
Last Friday we discovered Ostra and were blown away! The eclectic interior and atmosphere, amazing food and exceptional service were beyond and above what we could have imagined. The owner (Chris) was our waiter and we learned so much about him and his staff... When we complimented the food, one of his chefs, Jessica, came out for a short visit. We had a fantastic experience at Ostra and could not feel luckier to find them. We are telling everyone and cannot wait to go back. Many thanks Chris and co. for being who you are ?❤️
Good ambiance, fast and friendly service. I'd characterize the menu as sort of Asian/Mexican fusion with some bar staples also available. Menu was limited, but the selections were diverse and everything we had was tasty. Decent selection of craft tap beer offerings also.
Had dinner at Ostra last night and ate outside on the patio, food was phenomenal and service was great too. Best guacamole I’ve ever had. Drinks were so good, I got the pinwheel. YUM. Great experience.
First time and they easily rose to the top in company with our favorite Louisville spots. The food was not only very well executed but also fun and refreshing options outside of the same old interpretations. We're excited to go back and try more. Our newbie tip is try the cauliflower. Finally, the service was excellent resulting in an all around great experience.
