I order pizzas online and was told Door Dash would deliver them.. I called the store and expressed concern with a sub contractor they don’t know, delivering my families food… the “manager” a female told me they fired all their drivers.. this alarmed me and I asked to speak to her manager, which she refused and told me she was the manager. I wanted to cancel my order so she put me on hold, then said she had to check with her “manager”, I asked to speak with him, and she refused again. So I drove up to the store, and Connor the “manager” addressed my issues. I told him I was on the phone with corporate making a complaint about the DoorDash drivers and the female employees refusal to let me talk to him. Connor rang up my order again and tried to discount it to the same web price. I told him I was appreciative. I was waiting on my food, still on the phone with corporate answering the questions they had.. When after 10 minutes Connor the “manager” walked around the counter and showed me his cell phone with a text message from his GM. Yes the GM! It instructed Connor to refuse my order, refund my transaction, and to threaten to call authorities if I don’t leave the store… i am shocked, appalled, just straight up disappointed. A regular customer for 9 plus yrs at this location, and I am told to take a hike. Let me reiterate I was on the phone with corporate the entire time! This is all on the phone call. Even the guy on the phone didn’t know what to say… It would take a miracle to get me back in there. This place is a dump. The GM is a real piece of work! Terrible service!

It seems that in the past, ordering the Meat Lover’s or The Works meant getting a generous amount of each ingredient fully covering the pizza. Now, the toppings are minimal, barely covering the surface, and the sausage quality has declined spongy and resembling tofu. This change started in 2023, but by 2024, the toppings are even more limited, and the overall meat quality has deteriorated. Even the dipping sauces are noticeably smaller than they were in 2023.
I’ve been a loyal Papa John’s fan for 30 years because of the consistent quality no matter the location, the experience was always the same. However, every part of the order now feels subpar, and the quality has dropped across the board. Unfortunately, there’s no longer a reason to order anymore.

Something has gone wrong. My waistline will attest to my pizza-purchasing frequency…I’ve had my share of PJs. The one i picked-up last night was probably the worst made Works pizza I’ve ever gotten from any PJs. Very under-cooked and under-cheesed. I’ll write it off as a one-off. Hopefully they haven’t started cheating-out on their ingredients.
