Paseo is a charming restaurant on Baxter Avenue in Louisville's Highlands. The restaurant offers a small but well-curated menu for lunch, with a focus on fresh and delicious ingredients. The service is excellent, with servers providing great recommendations and quick corrections to any issues. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking a pool, perfect for enjoying the nice vibe and the aesthetic atmosphere. The inside space is spacious and airy, with a clean and cute design. The menu features dishes such as the spring salad, hummus with vegetables and flatbread, and the impressive seafood paella. Special dishes include the octopus appetizer, seasonal strawberry risotto, and a variety of bold cocktails and an elevated wine list. Paseo is a wonderful spot for a night out with friends or family, especially for celebrations like birthdays. The fries were thick but a good crispy level. Tomatoes on wood fired toast were delicious. Duck confit was cooked very well. Very tender and moist and skin was cooked very well. Rainbow trout was so good. Very fresh and citrusy. Skin was also on point. Brown butter brownie is phenomenal. Get the scoop of ice cream on top, worth it. The gluten free pasta is made in house and was so tasty. They also have gelato for dessert.
