First time here and it won't be our last. Don't be turned off by the "dive-ish" look of the building, because the food was visually stunning and had the taste to match. We were the only ones there in the middle of the afternoon, which made it feel like Chef Nick was our personal chef. We enjoyed the experience of watching him cook our meals right there. We ordered the hot brown, a pasta bowl, and the strawberry shortcake dessert. We left happy and full with leftovers as well. I highly recommend this place.

This place was awesome!! Chef Nick truly cares about his food and his customers. I had The “Louie”Ville Hot pasta bowl and absolutely loved it! It was so flavorful! The chicken was cooked perfectly and I loved the smoked Mac and cheese. Will definitely be back again.

Chef Nick is our new favorite culinary genius… his wide range of inventive southern fusions are a treat across the menu. Our group will definitely return to try other delights from this talented entrepreneur!

My husband and I traveled to the area from Tennessee for a wedding and happened to see this little place across from the record store. I am so glad we walked in! I had a pasta bread bowl and my husband ordered a wrap and we shared. Panera Bread eat your heart out! This chef makes some of THE best food I have ever tasted. It's hearty, flavorful, comfort food. Also, from reading the menu, has some great veggie options. The chef was extremely welcoming and the food was served fast and fresh. The prices were more than reasonable especially considering the serving sizes.. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area! I will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

If you’re looking for food as inventive and delicious as you’ll find anywhere else in the country, with a fresh take on Southern classics and the friendliest service, this is the place! Incredible sandwich, perfect dessert. You won’t be disappointed.

This eclectic cafe on Frankfort Ave in Clifton serves up a LOT of flavor and personality. We just stumbled upon it and have already fallen in love. Chef Mike is larger than life personality that loves his food and his customers. Be prepared for some daring flavor choices and a lot of food for a fair price. The 502 Cardinal Wrap is rich with savory goodness, and the Mac N Cheese was mind blowing. VERY different, and delicious. Seriously......go see Chef Mike at Phantom. Cool dude and a awesome food.

The pasta bowl did not disappoint, but the strawberry shortcake biscuit leaves nothing to be desired! Chef Nick puts his heart and soul into his creations, making every bite delightful!!

Husband and I had seen a short on the news about the restaurant. We decided to take the children and go. It was six children, us two, for a total of eight. We spent right around 100 bucks and each got full and had a take home box. Portions are large. The food is amazing. It’s not just a tasty bite, you can taste many different flavors in each bite. I had the Kentucky Nick Brown and it was easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. My husband had the Alfredo bread bowl and it was amazing. The children either got the original, the bacon broccoli chicken, or a wrap. They were all pleased with their food. As word gets out about phantom café, I believe they have a chance to grow into a more centralized area with a bigger place. This place is worth it 100%. A definite try if you are into some delicious meals. The owner cooked everything by himself and prepared each meal for all of us. I did think that he would probably take longer since there was eight of us but he had eight meals prepared plus dessert for all of us in less than 20 minutes. We were all pleased with the experience. We will definitely be returning! To the owner: thank you for seating us and giving us laughs while watching you prepare the meals. I wish you much luck with your venture. I believe you have a hidden gem. Hoping word spreads and you get to taste the big life!

Very pleasantly surprised! Had the bacon veggie wrap and it was great. Real food, not just throwing some deli ingredients together. Bacon was AWESOME. Bread pudding was equally awesome. Will definitely be back!

Lovely little place - don’t pass it up on your next stroll through Clifton. Nick is very sociable and of course a fantastic cook. I ordered the Soul Bird and it provided all the flavor and the comfort I was after. My brother ordered the chicken Alfredo, and everything down to the bread bowl itself was superb. The ratatouille wrap was fresh, hot and pleasantly seasoned. The candied bacon really took the Clifton Club to another level of flavor. Too busy devouring the food to even take any photos. After we were finished, he offered us samples of bread pudding, which we all cleaned our plates of. Best bread pudding I’ve ever had! Put this one on your list!
