Coffee wasn't bad but it was room temp by the time I got it. Barista didn't call out or announce an order at all. Seemed annoyed I asked if they were my coffees after waiting for 18 minutes. Times are tough, I get it

I was recently introduced to this coffee shop and came in to this location for my first visit. The store is great with lots of room and lots of seating. I ordered the coffee and a red velvet cookie. The coffee was a batch brew that was good, and the cookie was delicious. Staff were friendly and service fast. I’d like to check out some of their other locations.

Great Louisville coffee in a refurbished old bank. I love the upper floor seating and the amount of seating. It's easy to walk around downtown J-town from here and the coffee is strong

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share my experience from my recent visit to Quills Coffee, which was my second time at your establishment.

I genuinely appreciate supporting small businesses like yours, as I often look forward to the personalized service that comes with it. However, my experience today was not up to the standard I had hoped for.

When I entered, I spoke with your barista, who I believe was named Rebecca or Rachel. I inquired about making a latte with heavy whipping cream, but she replied very matter-of-factly that the only coffee allowed with heavy whipping cream is your signature drink. I explained that I'm on a low-carb diet and that heavy whipping cream is typically recommended for this. Unfortunately, she did not offer any alternatives, stating that no heavy whipping creamoptions could be made.

I asked about the signature drink made with heavy whipping cream and expressed interest in a sugar-free version. Again, I was met with a firm refusal, stating it was against your policy to alter that drink. I felt disappointed, especially considering that a hallmark of many small businesses is flexibility and customer accommodation.

I wished for a more positive interaction. A simple smile, an apology, or a suggestion for another drink would have gone a long way in addressing my concerns. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was informed none were available. I requested contact information for the manager and received an email address, but I felt the interaction was strained and lacking in customer care.

Finally, I had a latte which tasted fine, but I couldn't shake the feeling that the encounter had left a sour note. I value open communication and wanted to share this feedback directly with you before posting a formal review online.

FYI. No response from my email to manager so😕

When we went, there was only the one fellow working. He was doing a great job, and being forthcoming about why he was alone, and apologetic to the waiting customers. It wasn’t his fault. He was fantastic, and the drinks were amazing! Pictured is a hot Woodsman.

I was in Louisville for 2 days, and I had to come to Quills for coffee both days. The Woodsman was absolutely delicious. Definitely a must try for cinnamon lovers.

Parking: Several street parking spots in front of the building and a free parking lot behind the building.
