Repeal is truly the spot for a special night out. It's our favorite restaurant, so it only felt right to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday here and they made it unforgettable. The atmosphere is moody and upscale, but still cozy and welcoming. The service is always impeccable, and the food... absolutely flawless. Every dish was rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The wine was just as impressive - balanced, creative, and strong in the best way. Repeal has been our go-to for date nights, but this visit reminded us why we keep coming back: it always feels like an experience. Thoughtful, consistent, and elevated in all the right ways. Highly recommend for any celebration, or just because.

We were celebrating and trying Repeal for the first time. Definitely met our expectations. Everyone we talked to had positive things to say about the restaurant and it turned out valid. The service was EXCELLENT and the food I would return for. 10/10 recommend.

The bartender was gracious and attentive as we arrived early for reservations. The service was impeccable and we only interacted with 3 people. My food was so so. Everything tasted fresh but looked old. I will give brunch a try but I definitely enjoyed the experience.

What a great experience for our 1st time and celebrating our wedding anniversary. Everyone was awesome! Our waiter Michael was excellent and very knowledgeable when explaining the menu options. Food was spectacular! Definitely will be back!

We were excited to finally eat here, as it frequently is regarded to being better than Jeff Ruby's, which is a regular spot for us. The food and cocktail quality is top notch. The service sucked however. I hate to nitpick but the bill for two of us was $640, we expect better for that type of spend. We wiped the table down between courses, as they certainly weren't. We refilled our sparkling waters that never got fresh ice/lemon over the two hours except the initial pour. Frequently I waited 10-15min's from an empty cocktail until the server came by and I had to ask versus being asked. Heres my summary, the food was amazing. The restaurant is very very loud. The service was subpar at best. Jeff Ruby's is a lot better in my opinion, the service there over rides the better menu at Repeal.

Vibe, front door service for like $10.00, we celebrated our 11 yrs anniversary there, and they have some great deals on lunch time!!!

We had requested Christian as our server after having him about 8 months prior on a trip through Louisville. Very, very gentlemanly and knowledgeable of the food and drinks. Made spot-on choices upon request. Christian and Ken were the best. It goes without saying about the excellent food at Repeal—it was all outstanding! Any time we are in the Louisville area, we will make reservations at Repeal! Thank you!

One of our party order fresh Lobster that was undercooked, but everything else, including our waiter, Keith, was outstanding. Thanks Ron Hays

If you're on a date, be sure to reserve a table on the Terrace. The lobby level is much too noisy to properly enjoy each other's company. The Terrace roof is retracted on clear nights and is a joy to hear the sounds of the city and see the occasional landing airplane close overheard. I cannot overstate the difference in experience between these two dining areas: the lobby level is energetic and close, while the Terrace is quieter, spacious yet intimate. As for the food, it's excellent, but I'm no foodie so take that for what you will. The service is the more what I focus on and it was top-notch. Our server was polite with just enough familiarity to make us feel comfortable. She provided recommendations and was attentive to our questions. The thing that actually impressed us was the geniality of the other staff with which we interacted. It's obvious the manager takes pride in ensuring their staff are well trained and (to my eyes) treated well themselves. More than ambience, food, or value, by far the most important aspect of a dining experience comes down to service, and I cannot fault anything on that front. Superb. Value-wise, this will likely be a personal opinion; however, I found prices to be slightly inflated. Not surprising but just something to be aware of. In sum, I would absolutely recommend Repeal. Remember: the Terrace is best for a date, lobby level is fine for anything else.

Was seated on the second floor enclosed balcony. Fans were strong and created little colder environment then preferred. Street noise was beyond distracting with multiple motorcycles and emergency vehicle noises directly next to building. Service was great. Drinks were fantastic. Apps (crab cake and shrimp) were good but little pricey. Salads were ok. Wedge had overwhelming amount of iceberg. Lastly, 8oz filet was ordered medium, came out more medium rare and not very warm. Underwhelming and “soft” texture. Overall just ok, but underwhelming for a $400 meal for two people. No sides were ordered

The best meal we had in Louisville! And the best service, too! Steaks are great, but the seafood was wonderful, too. The bread is heaven on a plate. Thank you Ebraham and Marquis!
