Either dining in or having takeout, this place is phenomenal! The food is fantastic, the people that work there are friends and helpful, the atmosphere is such that it makes you happy. Who could ask for more?

Vegetarian options: The sides are plentiful, filling, and delicious. My partner enjoys the Jerk chicken the most. The cornbread is so delicious it should be illegal!

Forgot our order and blamed us saying we “were gone for over 30 minutes” when we were right around the corner (and used an timer) and asked 3 separate times where our order was. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to receive our food. Used to be regular customers, never coming back.

PS Clearly you are bitter and willing to lie over food. Look at your responses. Learn to take constructive criticism

Quiet spot, pretty empty when we arrived. It’s an order at counter spot. The dining area is fairly clean.

We got the goat curry and oxtail meals with collar greens, green beans, and Mac & cheese. Both meat dishes were tender but quite salty. We don’t mind too much as we expect it when eating out. Wish the oxtail had more spice though. The cornbread was too sweet.

We had a bit of a strange interaction at the beginning. We asked for water, the cashier mentioned they don’t ice. We agreed that it’s fine. Then, she came back and mentioned it’s really warm water — there’s bottled water next door. We told her it’s fine if water is warm too (we really don’t mind, plus I actually prefer my water without ice). She went back again, a bit later came back with two cups of water with ice. We were confused. My partner and I just stared at each other and shrugged. I am wondering if they just don’t have water or prefer not to give water —which is also fine. They can just say so.

Overall, not a terrible spot. We’d try again if we’re in the area.

Go to Island Breeze. Was going to eat my order here. Came in and walked right out after seeing a roach scurrying around and threw my order in the nearest trash. ?? Also the girl up front needed to fix her stank attitude.

The food is GREAT & we have been a couple of times and can’t wait to go back!!! The staff is always so friendly & patient with the customers.

Too salty and when I complained she was nasty with the apology and followed up by saying I’m the only person that complained. The nerve of them and how unreasonable to sell high blood pressure food. And the food isn’t authentic I’m of West Indian descent and her food taste American. They never have everything they posted on their menu. And the chef is terrible. Periodt. I’m very disappointed with this establishment!

Love the ribs but the nac and cheese was terrible. Looks like something they had left over from another day and decided to sell it. Tasteless and looks awful. Do better.

Best catfish and collard greens I've had in Louisville. The Jamaican cabbage was really good too. Service was spectacular. We didn't get to enjoy the roof top since it was so hot, but plenty of places to eat inside. I hate that the food is served in Styrofoam, but I'll be back.
