It's not a "fine dining" atmosphere, but it is a great little place to get a good quality Mediterranean meal. Service was quick. I got the falafel and was not disappointed. Open on Sunday too, which was great since I was waiting for a performance to start at The Brown. I could see this as a great place to grab a quick bite, or have lunch and catch up with friends. Traveling so first time here but would 1000% recommend. Staff was helpful, no frills means no wait so food came out fast, me and the six other people Im with all got something different and loved our food. I got the falafel sandwich, it was extremely delicious Im more a grazer then a big meal person but I devoured it. Would recommend here especially on a nice day because they have tables outside which can fit 8 people comfortably.

I got a falafel sandwich combo. The interior of the sandwich was delicious, but the pita wrap had unfortunately fused with the sandwich paper making it difficult to remove even with great effort. I elected not to eat the pita parts that were stuck with paper, which was most of it.The fries were fine. They are fries.If I go back I will probably get the platter next time. :)

I ordered takeout and walked over from the hotel. I arrived a minute after the food was said to be ready. I walked back to my hotel and was in my room within 5 minutes. All the food was cool and a few things cold.My assumption is the food was ready way earlier than expected and sat. I ordered the tabouli salad, shish kabob skewer, shish tawook skewer, and lentil soup. At least the tabouli was the perfect temp.If I try this deli again, I will order in the restaurant.

Absolute a Louisville Institution now, Safier Deli has been a mainstay in downtown Louisville for close to 2 decades. Best hummus this side of the Atlantic!
Hands down my favorite place to eat in Louisville. I LOVE their dolmas. Great food, great service. Clean establishment, friendly staff and reasonable prices. The only negative is that there isn't one closer to my home. Going downtown is a drain!
