This is by far my favorite restaurant, has been for years. Best burritos anywhere
Sadly, it appears that Santa Fe has closed. Hopefully, the owner will be able to find a new location, if not, it's closure is a great loss to the city of Louisville.

Need to call the bug people to come clean the bugs up. We’ll not be going back. Food okay but won’t be going back!
One of the first places I was introduced to by my sister due to the high quality of food. Unfortunately due to the pandemic Santa Fe Grill looks and feels like they are still trying to recover. We visit here every once and a while over the years and I would love to see Santa Fe Grill return to what it once was pre-pandemic. So if your hankering for a awesome taco or burrito this is the place to go. The ingredients are simple but the flavor is outstanding. Please be patient with the owner as he is sometimes the only one working. You may have to repeat orders with him to ensure everything is correct and not missing. Despite all of the service setbacks, please help support this great local restaurant!TL:DR - Best tasting tacos and burritos, please be patient its worth it.
Vegetarian options: Despite there only being one vegetarian burrito/taco, I have been told they taste amazing.
Parking: There is only street parking available. Depending on the time of day you may have trouble finding a place to park.

One thing about me is that I love good food! I came in after work today and ordered the tamales to go. They are full of flavor and have a homey feel, and the portions are generous for the price. The family that runs Santa Fe is accommodating and approachable. I plan to come back again in the future.
Seedy vibes yet wholesome overtone.Odd environment but my 2 experiences there were good enough for me to want to return again sometime. Food is average in a satisfying sort of way.
Delicious Food, unique one of a kind taste and it's very affordable. On my way right now ☺️ Perfect setting
Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome

The food was absolutely amazing....The staff was very nice and fast. I usually dine in but i was too tired tonight I will be back for sure!
I love their food.. We moved and haven't been in a while . We had the opportunity to stop in the other day.. Oh boy what a treat .. The food in our area has 1 star compared to Santa Fe .. I really miss living down the street from them. Stop in if u can .. Good food ???????
Service is always excellent. The food is delicious, and the price is very affordable.
This Mexican restaurant is one of the most authentic taquerias I’ve ever been to. The food was delicious and he dispatched us pretty quickly. I will admit some of the interior decorations are kind of in your face , but it didn’t detract from the experience. Despite the humble appearance of the establishment, you owe it to yourself to eat here!
I rarely write reviews... Either a place has to be absolutely amazing or absolutely the worst. This place is the latter. I don't even know where to begin. Chips and salsa straight out of a bag and jar. Okay, fine, but should've been a red flag to get out. My son orders a pineapple Jarito, a small chicken and cheese quesadilla, and a side of sour cream and guacamole. I ordered water and the combination #2, which should have been: a carnitas taco, enchilada, chile relleno. I asked for the green sauce on everything. He says it's hot, I said perfect. I said, can I also get sides of sour cream and guac, he says no and smiles, I laugh and say thank you. He writes it down... Smiles and then asked what to drink? Red flag number 2. I said water and pineapple Jarito, pointing at myself and my son identifying who gets what. He gets my son's drink and we never see him again until he's bringing out our food. I mention the water and the sides of sour cream and guacamole we ordered. He comes back to the table with A side of sour cream, turns, walks off. Never see him again. The food? Worst I've ever had. I literally spit the enchilada out. It tasted and smelled - sour is THE only word I have for it. The tamale I got, instead of the chile relleno I ordered, the meat was the only edible part, same with the taco, but that was no carnitas. More like carne asada, if I had to guess, but even that was questionable. My son's quesadilla was so greasy even he... Who will eat ANYTHING at the age of 13, could not stomach it and the sour cream was bad. I'm honestly not even sure it was sour cream. I'm almost tempted to say it was mayonnaise, due to it's color and consistency.Although I paid for everything, the more I think about, the sadder I am that I did. But, we had somewhere to be and I had no time to argue. I paid, we left, I'm leaving this review instead. Don't go!
