As a Korean, I’ve been looking for good Korean food in Louisville. This definitely hit.
Great little spot for Korean comfort food!

Great food and very friendly owners. Many items are, or can be made vegan. Just let them know and they'll guide you. So happy we finally tried and looking forward to going back many times.

As someone who tried many Korean food, I left feeling a lil disappointed. The dakgalbi was bland, the side kimchi was just mediocre, and I even had to get my own water. Honestly, I don’t understand why tipping is expected when the service barely existed. Just disappointing. :/ My mom makes better food…

They are really fast and serve great Korean food. If you dine-in Their soondubu-jjigae and dolsot-bibimbap are awesome!
If you get to-go their dakgangjeong, kimbap or tteokbokki are great too!

Reasonable price and tasty food. Truckbokli and Donkatsu were tasty but the food was not enough.

This place is the real deal. This is t Korean style, it IS Korean food, as judged by my two Korean guests.
Excellent quality, and the proprietors are very friendly. Excellent prices and delicious food.

Tucked away on the corner of Bardstown Rd and Eastern Ave- this amazing family owned restaurant never disappoints. The Korean-style crispy chicken comes spicy/soy/sweet chili and all three are equally good choices. The Osam bulgogi is spicy and delicious. I also recommend the mandoo- dumplings and choosing fried rice. Everything comes with a choice of 3 styles of kimchee- I always have a hard time deciding which is my favorite.

There’s a quiet kind of magic in places like Sarang. No neon flash, no gimmicks, just the hum of a kitchen that knows exactly what it’s doing. You walk in off Eastern Parkway, and the world slows down. The scent of sesame oil and gochujang hits you like a memory you didn’t know you had.
This is Korean comfort food, stripped of pretense and served with soul. The bibimbap arrives in a hot stone bowl that hisses like a whisper from Seoul. The dak-kangjung is crisp, sticky, and addictive. And the banchan? A symphony of small, perfect things.
The staff moves with quiet grace, like they’ve been doing this forever. And maybe they have. Because Sarang doesn’t feel like a restaurant, it feels like a home that decided to open its doors to the hungry and the curious.
You don’t just eat here. You remember it.

This place took me back in time , when I lived in Korea. The owners are very nice and the food was great! The dine in area is small, but inviting.
I wish I could give the service more than five stars. They were so kind to us.

If I could give this place six stars, I totally would. I’ve been coming here for a couple years and the food is always amazing. The couple that owns the place is so nice and so caring they have the best cucumber kimchi in the city and it’s such a treat to be able to buy in bulk to take home and enjoy whenever.
Cannot say enough good things about this place!
