COVID-19 updated review: Staff greets you with big smiles that manage to jump over the social distancing gap. We picked up three of their award winning cinnamon rolls. NOTE: size easily translates to six cinnamon rolls for sharing or indulging. The cinnamon is present but not overwhelming. The sweetness level is perfect. The bake would make Paul Hollywood proud. Love this bakery's purpose to provide gainful employment and training for the exploited. Every item I've enjoyed here, including beverages, are superb.

Lovely place, absolute to die for cinnamon rolls. The staff was very hospitable and very kind even when they cleaned up my granddaughters spilled drink. Will definitely come back when in the area. Unfortunately do not live to close but will recommend it to others

After purchasing a piece of Scarlett's cake in a store in Butchertown, I was excited to go to the source. I was hoping to find multiple choices and more goodies. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There were few choices and little variety. The very friendly staff was helpful and courteous and worked with me to find something that would meet my party needs. The parking area I front of the store is minimal as it's utilized by restaurants and other stores flanking Scarlett's. The store is small and very clean. I'm willing to give it another try, but my initial reaction is disappointing.

Chicken salad sandwich on sourdough with a raspberry blondie. It was a perfect lunch. Looking forward to trying more menu items. And next time I'll take pictures.

We stopped in for our daughters birthday surprise snack during the afternoon. The 2 women working were not friendly or inviting at all. We were the only ones in the store. Not a hello or smile or happy birthday when we walked in...just stood there until we spoke first to tell her what we wanted.

Highly recommend Scarlett’s Bakery. The staff was so helpful and made sure that they helped me create the perfect cake for my occasion. It tasted as amazing as it looked. Can’t wait for my next excuse to order a cake! Support this bakery and their mission!

Scarlet's Bakery is a great spot to grab a sweet treat, or even something quick for lunch! A big reason that I wanted to try Scarlet's was because of the ethics behind this business. Scarlet's really uplifts and supports women within the community, and I appreciate that. The s'mores macaron I tried here was delicious! I look froward to trying more treats from here.

I've wanted to visit since I learned what Scarlet's was all about. The inside was so clean and white. The bakery options were fantastic. We split the huge cinnamon roll. There was a little too much icing for me but that's more personal preference than anything.

Recently visited Scarlet's Bakery on a Monday afternoon for a little weekday date. We were the only people in this location, but I hope the traffic picks up for them. The food is great! My wife and I split a bacon, cheddar, and chive scone, a gigantic cinnamon roll, and a jalapeño scone. The workers were glad to heat them up for us and all items were delicious. There was plenty of space for seating and it's a quaint space. Some of the food was mislabeled - for example one of the scones said "maple-bacon scone" but we found it was a different flavor and they were out of the maple-bacon. It was a brief bummer, but soon we were delighted with the food we ordered. Endnote: my workplace recently catered Scarlet's Bakery holiday cookies and they were fire! I've enjoyed every item I've tried from Scarlet's Bakery.

I went to Scarlet’s Bakery this morning with a group and had a lovely time. The scone I had was delicious and so was the chai. The service was quick and very friendly. I’ll definitely be back!

The best dessert in town! Everyone is always so kind in there. The owner has a really cool story and runs a really great business and gives back so much. She particularly helps a lot of women in crisis which is great. The best cakes I've ever had!

It is pouring rain, the Saturday morning of Thanksgiving weekend, the day after Black Friday, on Small Business Saturday. The parking lot, through no fault of the bakery, has about 2 to 3 inches of standing water. Flooded parking lots are a sacred tradition in St. Matthews. A cake, that my wife ordered, had been prepared and was due to be delivered at this location, but it had not arrived yet when I was there, due to another sacred tradition, this time in Greater Louisville, which is, when it rains, the quality of the driving is, shall we say, more exciting than it should be. The crew couldn't have been more pleasant. The driver arrived safely. 3 employees carried the cake into the bakery for my inspection. Then the same team carried it into my car, intact. All of us were standing in ankle deep water. Everyone was so excited by this success, that you could honestly say, there wasn't a dry foot in the house. Incidentally, the cake is stunning. Will definitely return!
