Friendliest staff!! Most delicious food! All around perfect dining experience!!
When we arrived, we were seated immediately, and water was set on the table. A small 4" saucer of 6 thin slices of a Cuban style bread was presented. The rest of our party arrived and reviewed the menu. My wife and son ordered the Baked Ziti, I ordered the Bolognese, Grandson had the Chicken Parmesan, Daughter in law ordered the Lasagna, and her Mom ordered the Salmon. When the plates arrived, both Baked Ziti were sent back because they were cold on the inside. The Bolognese had a watery, tasteless Arrabbiata tomato sauce and the food was just warm. The Chicken Parmesan chicken was pounded out until paper thin. The breading was twice as thick as the chicken. The Lasagna looked fantastic. Very large portion, covered with a tomato sauce. The salmon was good also. Two Margaritas were ordered, and they were so sweet they could not be drunk. One was replaced with wine. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. Our waitress was very apologetic for the issues we had. At the end of the meal, she brought us six complementary Cannoli's. Overall, the food was not worth the money. Very disappointed. Will not be returning at all.

Excellent! From the food to the service…top notch!!!
My friend said her Lasagna was the best she had ever had. The porch chop, Ziti with Vodka sauce and Scampi were excellent. The wait staff exceeded expectations and made us feel like family.
Everything was excellent!!!! Owner Silvio came over and spoke to me for a few minutes and was very personable. I am from Detroit but will return next time I am back in Louisville.

Need reservations but a beautiful family run restaurant. Owner comes out and talks to patrons. We sat at the bar and the bartender was fabulous.

My family, while visiting Louisville , wanted an Italian dinner. I discovered Silvio's had long history in Louisville and chose to dine there. We arrives shorly after the restaurant opened. We has the place to ourselves. In a short time the restaurant was packed as you can see in the photos. We were welcomed by the owner, Bill, who took time to chat with us, recomment a great chianti and talked a little about the evening's choices. I asked about the shrimp and polenta. Bill said I would love it because the polenta was crisped that offered a rustic take to the dish. I started with a Caesar salad that hit all the right notes ... served room temperature with crisp romaine and parm crusted crotons tossed with a wonderful dressing and shaved parm. The shrimp and polenta knocked it out of the park. The Chianti Classico was as comforting and smooth as a kiss under the Tuscan sun. Other members of the family had wonderful dinners of veal parm and the seafood pasta. Our service was spot on. Satisfied to the full, we split a serving of lemoncella cake. Silvio's is a great Italian experience. There is ample parking and the restaurant is easily accessible to those in wheelchairs.

Great service and atmosphere. Seated next to a pole that was not the best but did not bother our dinner. Fried ravioli appetizer was outstanding. The house red pasta sauce was also amazing. We had a teramasu as a dessert. The best is all I can say! Highly recommend this quaint restaurant with excellent food and service.

Definitely have to visit this place. 10 out of 10!
4 of us went here on Saturday evening. First time. I cannot stress enough how great this place was! Everyone was extremely nice. They were professional and amazing. It was almost unreal. Good and drinks were amazing.
Vegetarian options: You can get pasta dishes and then add on vegetables. I am not vegetarian but I actually got fettuccine Alfredo with vegetable medley. Amazing flavor with colorful veggies.
