Hardly open anymore since she got that $10,000 grant
My best friend and I came here for the Queer & Sober social on Saturday. We were amazed at how homey and welcoming the entire place was. We were greeted by the owner, Arielle, and tea specialist Liliana, they were so kind- it was like we knew had already knew each other!
The whole experience was a 10/10. The tea was delicious and the environment of the entire place was so cute and welcoming.
It's nice to go to a place in town that feels so community based and safe. We will definitely be going back!
Lovely spot. LGBTQIA celebrating. Lots of tea choices.
Tea has always been a social binder. Now, it’s something I share from all the way across the country. Thank you to my KY friends who introduced me to Sis Got Tea. Just made my first online order for shipping all the way to TX!
Illegal refusal to pay employees in timely manner with week excuses and refusing to admit fault
I have not been able to visit sis got tea in person yet as I live in Florida, but the owner is a former colleague of mine who I was absolutely privileged to have the chance to work with for a short time. As a member of the queer community who finds it disheartening how much of queer culture centers around alcohol consumption, it is so amazing to see this sort of space start up in a city that is still very near and dear to my heart. Personally, I do not identify as a QPOC but try my best to do the work involved with being a strong ally, so I cannot speak from this angle, but I do know that this space will be an asset to Louisville’s QPOC and POC communities in general as well.
Yummy teas and warm customer service. We had a great visit. 💜💜💜💜
Really wanted to support. But only half my order arrived and no one would answer phone and or email to resolve the issue. Buyer beware.
AMAZING. So welcoming & kind. Great selection. The atmosphere & vibe is everything. I had the iced strawberry sunrise (I think???) and it was AMAZING. So flavorful and not too sweet but sweet enough I didn’t need to add anything. 10/10 would recommend. I will be back and plan to shop online regularly.
The tea was super good! They also have a lot of board games to choose from while you sip ok your tea! No boba but hopefully they’ll have it soon! Had a very nice peaceful time there. also love how inclusive they are :)

Sis Got Tea is a warm and welcoming Black, Queer-owned tea shop on Barrett Ave. From the staff to the décor, the place felt super inclusive and happy. The tea selection is great and the staff are really knowledgeable about the products they sell. The Spicy Chai was delicious! The shop hosts lots of events ranging from crafting to community outreach throughout the week. I will definitely be going back.
Great cozy tea shop! Love all of their options, plus they have loose leaf tea blends available to order online. I got the earl grey supreme last time I went in, and it was perfect.
This small tea shop is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the drinks and treats are fantastic. I would highly recommend checking out this local shop in a heartbeat. It's the perfect quick stop to or from work or even during a little break. Cannot wait to come back!
I forgot to review this place when I visited this summer but I found their lovely business card and remembered how phenomenal it is!! All of their tea is excellent, the staff was so helpful, the merch was adorable, the bathroom was stocked with everything you could dream of ever needing, and the whole place was so cozy and fun!! Couldn’t recommend enough!
Seriously the best tea in town. The drinks themselves are amazing, the workers are wonderful, and I really appreciate how communicative they are about current hours and events!!
