I tried calling 3 phone#s to place an order. I got there right after they had stopped cooking- 8:00. Not all the food was available, but they were able to fix me 2 orders! The food is good and they give generous portions. Cash or cash app accepted only- $20. The lounge hadn't opened yet but I wasn't staying. I was told the phone# is put on 'DO NOT DISTURB' once the DJ starts, about 7:00. I'll go back again to try other food before they run out.

Doc Crow's was the absolute Best Restaurant in the area!!! The staff, atmosphere, and the food made us go back THREE times!!! Please don't miss the fried okra!!!
Restaurant /Club that progresses into a nice night hot spot..that serves food. I had dry rub seasoned chicken wings with a side of collard greens.. everything was good.. except the collards had a lil extra vinegar for my liking.. overall it was good for late night eats.

Oh my goodness, where do I start. First, the owner/cook/server was incredibly personable and kind. She made us feel like family the entire time we were there. And then the food! We all had the fish platter and I had the catfish. It was cooked perfectly. The collard greens were awesome and the Mac and cheese was the best I ever had. It was also served with a hot honey buttered Parker house type roll. I would almost come back to Louisville just to eat here. 10 out of 10
My first time every writing a review .. this place is Horrible! Do not waste your time. You get there when the “door opens” but they not really open. Security guard let us in we sit down and then he came and told us that we gotta get out cause they still not open and they not ready yet. Like what?! Literally watched 9 people get kicked back out. U just lost business cause u unprofessional
$20 cover but the place was totally empty inside. Felt scammed. The wait staff had on little sequin bikinis, it made the place feel cheap and trashy. I like to support black owned businesses but this place ain’t it…we need to do better fam.
Fries were hard af. Wings didn’t have a lot of flavor. I paid 24 For a double shot of dusse and my cup was half full. It just seems like too much money. It was clean inside. Dj was jamming. Food came quick.
Excellent experience whether dinner or private party great food location and atmosphere

I came to the city to DJ a reception and had no intention on visiting this restaurant . Walk by the day of and because I’m from the south, the name struck me. Well, turns out I was looking for a late night spot and read great reviews about this place. Ok so here it goes. I didn’t realize it was more of a club then lounge(then again it was Friday night) I had no interest in the club scene but there was a room where I was able to eat and drink in some what piece. Had to pay $10 for entree(must have been the club price) ordered a drink from the first bartender who looked like I was bothering her and said she didn't have a whiskey that I asked for. On my second round with another bartender who was friendly I noticed the bottle and ask her for a shot. This bartender was nice and also quick. The lady taking food orders made this visit worth it all! She was nice, friendly and we engaged in small conversation. Food arrived fast and was just OK. The place most definitely got busier as the night progressed and I left. Overall, I would say check it out if it’s earlier enough and you not tryna hang out in a club environment.
I visited Louisville Kentucky and while looking for a bite, we came across Southern Restaurant. Not impressed and very disappointed. First, I was confused on the theme and type of business it was. It had the strip club feel but no poles. Rap music was loud, waitress wearing very skimpy and tight attire, girls taking selfies in the mirror. Second, when we walked in we were pointed to the bar to order food. The lady behind the bar was eating and we had to wait for a few mouthfuls to place an order. I asked for an item and she stated she would have to check with the kitchen. She grabbed her food and proceeded to the kitchen. After about 5 minutes she came back out with an answer and I suspect a full belly. My burger in the picture was so little for the money I would have been better going to Burger King. Don't think I would eat here again.
Kid-friendliness: Staff was friendly after she finished eating.

In town for a short visit. This place was perfect in the fact that the online listed hours were 10p-3a, decent reviews, food looked pretty good. A short distance from my hotel, walked and arrived a few minutes after 10p. Posted hours said 11pm. Fine. Took a walk and came back past at about 1030, young lady was arriving for work and said "they open at 10." Then indicated it must have changed when it was pointed out that it was past 10. Came back at 10:57, a few men are outside chatting and vaping. They begin setting up tables outside and indicated they open at 11?. Asked little buddy at the door who was setting up ropes where to stand, he responded as if he were being bothered. A few seconds later, a couple of other potential patrons approached and they said they were preparing to open and it would be another 15 minutes. Needless to say, we moved on. If you decide to give them a try, I'd suggest going about 2 hours after the listed opening time. Perhaps by then they'll be ready to open and serve their customers.

Service is good besides the guy checking your I.D. before you go in to have dinner. That was weird. Food was good. I had salmon crouquets with collard greens and Mac and cheese collard greens were really good with no pork, the Mac and cheese was a 2. For this to be black owned that Mac and cheese needs to be better, the salmon crouquets were good. Overall 4 stars.
The food was extremely salty. So salty I could not eat. No healthy options. The service was fine but cocktails feel short. There was no sweet tea. I cannot recommend this restaurant to my friends.
