Walked thr property and the gift shop super cool place can't wait to take a tour
I've been to Stitzel Weller twice now, and I can say that it is my favorite spot on the bourbon trail (even better than makers mark). This place oozes history, it's less of a working distillery tour (although there is a micro still that still produces bourbon on site) and more of a love letter to bourbon history. The tour is a great look at the rise, fall, and comeback of American whiskey over the past 100 years. The blade and bow brand is a great bourbon, and the garden and gun club upstairs is my favorite distillery bar. Highly recommend even if it's just a stop to see the visitors center and garden and gun club! You won't regret it!
This place must be going out of business. Understaffed by unenthusiastic team and out of 40% of the items that are listed on their flight menu. There are dozens of distillery experiences in Kentucky—pick a different option.
Super neat place, but skip getting drinks. We paid $16 for an Old Fashioned and this is what they gave us. I questioned them about it saying if you remove the ice cube and orange peel, that it's half a shot of total liquid. They said that's how they make an Old Fashioned. Great establishment with some neat history, but with a very disappointing bar experience. You would expect better from a Bourbon distillery.
Excellent staff, beautiful grounds and bar. We will come back! Maybe the best Old Fashion I’ve ever tasted.
Great tour and tasting experience. I would recommend this stop to anyone trying to get as many as they can like I am.
Tour takes you around the grounds with a focus on the storied history of the estate.
From start to finish we felt very welcome and had an amazing experience. Highly recommend taking the tour and spending time at the Garden and Gun Club. The old fashioned and smoked trout dip are to die for!
Amazing experience!!! First time visiting this historic Louisville spot in the bourbon trail and I cannot express how amazing their team was! Deanna, our bourbon tour guide, was full of energy, passion and information. Bartender in the Garden and Gun Club, Trevor, made amazing bourbon cocktails and told us about future events out at Stitzel-Weller! Met Anne, Event Coordinator, in passing and she was exactly someone I would want to work with if I ever hosted anything at their property! Great job!
Nice bar and historic place

Great tour, friendly staff and good drinks, who could ask for more?!?
One of the better tours in Kentucky. Awesome history and storytelling along the way. Felt more like a history tour than a distillery tour.
Highly recommend this tour that is located 15 minutes outside of Louisville. This tour shows the bourbon making process while covering the history of bourbon distilling in Louisville (and you learn that Pappy Van Winkle spent his whole career at this distillery). One of our top 2 tours.
Very informative tasting tour guide. Beautiful building.
A wonderful way to spend an afternoon! The location is historically significant, our tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about bourbon and its history, and she was very willing to engage our questions and conversation and guide us a bit during the tastings. We came away appreciating a new perspective and place along the Bourbon Trail!
