Why u ask well that's when Suburban Fish Fry returns from hibernation to cook up their golden cod. And it is the beast fish fry in Louisville bar none. My wife used to come here and get fish with her grandma and now years later we are carrying on the tradition. If you are in the mood for fish on a Saturday look no further than Suburban Fish Fry in Louisville KY. I got mine this past Saturday all 8 lbs of it. This is my favorite place in the town to go to get fish. As a child I couldn't wait to go to suburban For fish. It was in third street in a wooden shack with gravel walk way. I'm 60yrs old and I have treated my kids and grandkids to it. I have also turned a lot of my friends on to it. Keep up the good work suburban, you got me and mine hooked. The onions are a special treat too.

Have mercy. Delicious. If you are in Louisville get off 65 and get a few pounds of this fish. If heading North you will eat a pound in the car before you cross the bridge to Indiana! Put some in freezer bags and pack it in your cooler! I grew up on this fish when it was at 4th and Central location. Now we are 300 miles away and whenever home to visit (and it is Saturday and the certain months they are open) we always go to Suburban. All volunteers make up the people who prep, fry & serve this fish as a fundraiser for the Masonic Lodge. If you are lucky the local church will have a bake sale table set up too. Get the red velvet cake.
