For a small business this place was actually really delicious, for me! it was completely empty when we arrived it was about 3:00 p.m. absolutely no one there but the food was brought out presentable, fresh and warm!! My husband got the tacos & to be honest he wasn't very pleased with the flavor. He mentioned he had had better tacos at other restaurants! The price for the tacos was not worth it because it only had one tortilla and not enough meat. But on my behalf I thought the sope was really good it was actually triple the size as you will get it anywhere else and the shrimp cocktail was on point not too bitter, but I did notice the shrimps were not as fresh as I would have expected. Other than that I will rate this place a 4 star because my husband wasn't very pleased with HIS meal.

If you’re an OG from Okolona or Highview, then you know this to be the same location of Villa Romano from way back.This is is a small and nice Mexican restaurant with a great menu variety. The menu is in Spanish but understandable with basic information. We had great and friendly service. Like in many countries, they don’t serve tap water. They do serve complimentary warm chips and a tasty bean dip. We ordered the guacamole and it was very fresh and chunky. It was gone before I could snap a photo.My husband got the huarache - big enough to share. My poblano relleno was fantastic. It came with rice and beans and the batter was eggy and good. It also was served with HANDMADE tortillas. Such an unexpected treat!There is a very spicy green salsa and a medium smoky red salsa that they also bring to the table.I can’t wait to go back and try something else.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu.

Is there a way to give more than 5 stars? Me and my girlfriend came for a late lunch hoping this place would have authentic Mexican food. We both got our own Tinos Torta and let me tell you, this was the best torta I've ever had. The horchata was amazing and over all the whole experience was great! We will definitely be back next time we go through Louisville

Im absolutely in love with this place, Im so mad at myself for not stopping by sooner, I come here for lunch and bring it back to my office and all my co-workers and customers said it smells delicious! We will all order soon! I love this restaurant!!!
Food was full of authentic flavors. The green salsa was thick and spicy ?️ . The homemade tortilla is a total game changer. Online portions looked small but once served they are pretty generous. The service was great and the free horchata refill will be the reason why I’ll go back for Taco Tuesday.
