Guy behind the counter was really cool and chill. Food was beyond excellent. Baguette was perfectly crispy outside and soft inside.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could! This bakery is an absolute gem - they bake bread and pastries in store, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The egg&cheese variation on koláč was hot, delicious and exactly what I needed on this freezing day! The danish pastry was seriously THE BEST I have ever eaten in the Unites States. Without exagerration. This stuff is greatgrandma quality and for those who don't know - where I come from, this is the highest award of baking you can possibly achieve, as nothing (!) matches greatgradma's skill&love she put into baking. I am so sad I won't be able to swing by again before I leave Lousville, but when I'm back in town, I will be back!

Croissant Crunch 😭: I was doing a cross country drive and stopped by The Bakery at Sullivan, Louisville, KY. I was legit flabbergasted at the crunchy sound and “barely fluidic” chocolate coming out of the Pain Au Chocolate. I’m a bad foodie and never knew that chocolate croissants are supposed to be crunchy 😭. I’m not sure if the taste/crunchiness varies by the Chef but that specific day… I was blown away 🫡

A wonderful experiance. I was running an errand and dropped in to pick up some danish. Being the lucky man that I am I grabbed the two remaining creme cheese filled offerings. They were expertly boxed for takeout and made a safe trip back to my house. These were magical. The layers flaky, airy and perfectly balanced with the sweet, buttery creme cheese filling and perfectly splashed with sweet icing. The bottom layers of crust add body that allows the soft, flaky body above support. An artful rendering of a favorite baked treat. Delicious!

Great bakery items. Love the macarons. They sell quality baked goods and chocolates.

Traveling through the area and stopped to charge our Tesla. Hard to explain just how beautiful the whole experience was. It was mid to late afternoon and the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly! Literally felt like the girl invited us into her kitchen and was excited to share their home and passion for baking. It's like we went in for baked goods and instead met love! These kind of experiences are few and far between!

Oh! And the review of the baked goods.... off the charts! I was so excited to see hummingbird cake which I have rarely found. I remember experiencing it as a teenager in my uncle's restaurant and absolutely loved it. And this was phenomenal. Also had a peach crumble, might not have the name quite right. Just the right level of sweetness with this light peach flavor spread throughout.

Hands down one of the best local bakery experiences I've ever had!
