The food is the best, our team is always fighting over who gets to attend events that The Black Italian is catering. They seriously never miss a beat when it comes to satisfying your tastes bud and your tummy!! If I could eat dinner from the Black Italian every single day, I probably would. Recently, I had my sisters baby shower catered and the pizza sliders and chicken formaggio were an absolute hit!!! Everyone at the party could not get over how flavorful and delicious they were!!! (My brothers best friend literally couldn't stop thinking about it & wrote me days later wanting to know how he could get the chicken formaggio again!) Paula and Anthony are such amazing people and so is their business and I could never give them enough praise! I attended an event that was catered with Black Italian. Food was excellent. The salad and dressing were incredible--I know it doesn't seem like much but I wanted to drink the dressing. The fruit lemonade was also amazing! I'm a vegetarian and there were veggie options available which was standard fare.

The Creamy Garlic Formaggio Pasta with the flame grilled chicken bites might be my new favorite meal! Thank you so much for all that you do for our community! I had never heard of this restaurant until a family member from out of state sent me a link as a suggestion to cater our grandson’s first birthday party. We were expecting 80 people (adults and children) - he is a miracle baby and this was a big celebration! We wanted to make sure there was enough food that both adults and children would enjoy. Paula was so patient and gracious to us as we went back and forth about what we wanted, even changing the menu at the last minute. She was also extremely helpful and gave us the perfect suggestions for a crowd our size, with something for everyone. She even made a low sodium option for my husband who is on a renal diet. We ended up with two pasta dishes and two kinds of panini sliders, with garlic bread bites and a complimentary tray of cookies. Everything was incredibly delicious, and we had tons of food! Everyone raved about it and commented it was like food at a wedding reception. The panini sliders were a huge hit! This is not your typical Italian food - it is high quality cuisine, and you can tell it is “made with love” as my husband says - and very reasonably priced especially for the quality. Lastly, Paula’s husband, Anthony, delivered the meal all the way to Bernheim Forest where we had the event. We were running behind and it was so chaotic when he got there - but he was so gracious and helpful, and even brought a birthday gift Paula had gotten for our grandson! Our entire experience with them was wonderful. They served us well, and we’ll definitely go back. They are busy, so if you don’t get a call back, be patient - it will be well worth the wait!

My family and I are OBSESSED with the Formaggio with Chicken pasta (and obsessed may be an understatement)! I can’t think of anything negative to say about this place, not even in the slightest.
