Great food I don't mind paying a higher price when the food is worth it. The aged ribye was great .

We ate at the bar during lunch, the bartender was super friendly and professional, the head chef came out to get some of these special cherries they marinate and talked to us for 15 to 20 minutes, he was extremely informative and gave us quite a bit of information, I had the bone in New York strip with truffle fries and my buddy had either a 6 or 8 ounce filet with Sam's mashed potatoes, both were outstanding, I had iced tea and my friend had 4 of their special Old Fashioned at $22.00 apiece, I drove, I'm taking my son there for lunch during Kentucky Derby week for a celebration of his 4.0 GPA in his 2nd year of a very well respected private university that ranks in the top 3 in our state, will definitely sit in the bar again and I think we will both get the filet looking forward to it.

Our assistant server, Trace, was a true man of culture and expertise. He and the Stoli Doli General were the two that made dinner most memorable. Trace was always present when we needed assistance and accommodation. Matter of fact, Trace ended the night with a delicious cream pie.

Trace was our assistant server and he was incredible. He really made our entire experience a delight. Trace had us laughing until we had tears in our eyes and he never disappointed us in the slightest. We were there to celebrate a good friends big promotion and thanks to Trace it was memorable!

I unexpectedly stopped in for lunch. I will absolutely be back! The lobster salad had plenty of lobster and a fantastic dressing!

Honestly they were out of a couple things. Plus what they did have was cold and unimpressive. Very nice decorations in the restaurant. Otherwise overpriced and poor quality for what is projected expectation.

The thing I love about Capital Grille is that no matter which one you go to it's a high-level experience. We interacted with many of the staff and they were all great!

First time at Capital Grille and we were celebrating our anniversary! First impression was excellent & continued to be great! Sat at a booth and table had confetti hearts and a rose with a congratulatory card. Our server was Lydia and she was outstanding without being pretentious! We started with a cup of clam chowder and French onion soup. Clam chowder was good, but needed a little more seasoning. The French onion was delicious with loads of cheese. Hubs had the sea bass & it was excellent. Cooked perfectly. I had the strip steak Au poiver. It was excellent also & cooked to exactly as requested. The sauce was very good & steak was tender. We shared the Brussel sprouts and lobster Mac & cheese. Brussel sprouts were good as was the Mac & cheese altho not much lobster or lobster taste. I would skip the Mac & cheese next time. They gave us a complimentary champagne toast and complimentary dessert which was excellent!! Chocolate flower less cake and cheesecake with a creme brulee topping! So good!! Thank you for making this celebration so special

Took my friend for her birthday. They had a card and confetti on the table. The food was very good, expensive so would only go for a special occasion. Liked all the different breads they serve at the beginning. Had calamari for the appetizer, doesn't come with any sauce but has good flavor. Tried the wedge salad. Was very basic and did not have any cheese on it and the bacon was very thick, could have been sliced thinner. Entree was the 10 oz filet, au gratin potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts. They brought a complimentary cheesecake and flourless espresso cake which was super rich.

Our server was super great. Very friendly and hospitable. Her and Dominic were very attentive. Food and drinks were perfect and the wait was enjoyable. Our server even gave us a complimentary dessert. Thank you sooo much.

Above and beyond service! I recommend this for special occasions (free desserts and a rose!). They even swept the crumbs off the table for us ?

We were there to celebrate our daughters birthday. It was our first experience at this restaurant. We frequent Jeff Rubys in Louisville and other nicer restaurants so we were excited to check out this new one in Louisville. The atmosphere is nice, but we found it was very noisy. We seated in the table closest to the entrance. This turned out to be a strategic error. We had people coming past us the entire time we were there making lots of noise, both customers and team members. The waitress and others were responsive and very nice in their overall presentation. We did have to ask a couple different times for refills, which never happens when you're at Jeff Rubys's. I also asked for a second glass of wine to be served with my steak and that never happened until I was finished eating. At that point I declined. It seemed to me the people that were supposed to help the waitress were not doing their jobs. I felt very bad for her. Everyone seem to enjoy their food and the flavor was good. I'm not saying, I won't come back. But if we do, I will require a table closer to the back and possibly a booth not in the main flow of traffic.
