The Grape Leaf is amazing! Every dish we try is delicious. Plus great service and a wonderful dining experience, highly recommend!
Solid choice for Middle Eastern food! I found them on Yelp when we were in town for the weekend. Our visit was during Covid so we did curbside, which worked like a charm. Called in the order. Called again when we were parked in front of the place and everything was delivered to our truck, completely contactless.
We started with their appetizer platter. I was given the opportunity to choose three of four items. The avocado option sounded the least interesting so I went with hummus, spankanopita and baba ganoj. The spankanopita was delicious. So often, this dish comes across as greasy but not this time. A smaller portion than I'm used to seeing but really well executed and very flavorful. The hummus was nothing exceptional and the baba ganoj was smoky, slightly sweet but just a little below some of the better baba ganoj I've had the opportunity to enjoy. All-in-all, the mezza platter is a good way to try some well-made dishes even if they aren't going to blow your mind...for a reasonable price.
For dinner, we split the mixed grill which came with a thick lamb chop, lamb skewer and kufta kebab. On the side, we had their lentil rice and a greek salad. The salad looked fantastic but went straight into the fridge based on the amount of food we received. The meats were all very well executed. I was asked about desired temperature for the lamb (medium) and it was pretty close to right. Of the meats, I suspect the lamb chop was my favorite although all were well seasoned, flavorful and of more than sufficient quantity given the price of the dish.
About the rice...go with the rice with lentils. It is an amazing experience worthy of its own mention. Really flavorful and complimentary to the meal. Yum!
There was a nice size bag of warm pita triangles as well. Light and pillowy, they represented the perfect bread basket to go with the meal.
Baklava for dessert was good but not great. I really prefer when the filling is layered between the phyllo dough instead of seeing a bunch of sheets forming a top and a bottom crust. Call it personal preference but I think it makes for a better baklava.
Bottom line - I would most definitely return and hope they survive the pandemic so I can dine-in on a future visit to Louisville.

The portions were nice for the meal but the price was surprisingly higher than anticipated. If you arent careful add on items really raise the cost of dinner. For two people with an appetizer and basic entrees it was 80 dollars. I doubt this will become my Mediterranean go to spot.

The food was awesome, and the portions were huge! I had leftovers for a couple of days. The customer service was also great; the young guy explained everything really well and took his time answering our questions.

I believe we picked all the dishes that were or can be vegan. Generous portions. Hummus with fresh cut carrots. Lentil soup was so good. The shawarma wrap comes with aioli so we requested to sub the sauce out. entrees come with 2 sides... we had so much food! Casual nice sized dining area and street parking.
Great food, underrated Louisville restaurant. Had the babrobia, hummus with zatar pita, grape leaf, lentil soup and falafel sandwich. All fantastic. Will be back! Service was great too

The food was very good. There were four of us and we split two of their samplers. Plenty of food and all very well prepared and delicious. The service was not as good as expected, and the outdoor area where we were seated could use some work. Overall not a bad experience.

Great food! reminds me of some of the places I grew up with in Northern NJ. Also, to the previous review about the person complaining about no alcohol, its a Mediterranean restaurant pal, you wont find any of them with liquor licenses
