Doesn't appear to be open, website is up, but devoid of info, and their number is out of service. Came highly recommended by locals, but I can't review what doesn't exist.

Unable to adheer to their posted times, exudes professionalism when you say you are open but not. I would not trust anyone who couldnt use a clock to cook a meal for me

It's a big place for sure but the food was great and the staff was absolutely amazing. Had a great conversation with the bartender and it was just a good time

Wonderful menu and great variety of food that is way beyond German. I am glad they have the German inspired selections too, considering Germans in Louisville is a big historical fact. Whoever named this restaurant needs to be whipped. It gives no clue as to what this place is. If they changed their name to the Bier Hall on Washington St they increase sales by 25% easily. Anyway if you like sausages, try all the different styles. The If you like Miller or Bud try the German beer Radeburger instead. It's a tasty Pilsner. Even better is the Reissdorf, a Kölsch style that is so easy to drink. Try any of the four beef selections are very full of flavor. A favorite is Oma's Meat Loaf. Change and Improve that name!

Google says they're open. Yelp says they're open. No way to get ahold of them via phone. Leaving it up to the intrepid customer to find their way to the location downtown only to find out that they are, in fact, closed. Terrible way to do business.

I do not know how I did not know about this place until my friend took me here before going to see a show at Actors. I am a Wisconsin girl so give me a good bratwurst, and on their menu, they even had stuff from a WI town near my home. The space is hip as heck and the food was great. It was great to have a taste of home in my new home.

I had dinner at The Hall On Washington St. with a couple of friends, and it was great! I started with a beer cocktail, the French Ruby 75. I love grapefruit, and this cocktail contains grapefuit hefeweizen. The best part? They serve the bottle alongside the cocktail! So, not only do you get an amazing mixed drink, you get a beer as well. It's a win-win! We ordered the Potato Pancakes for the table. It was perfect for the three of us, because the order is served with three potato cakes, along with lingonberry jam and sour cream. They were delicious! Served hot and crispy, and the cold jam and sour cream were the perfect sides. The menu offers a ton of awesome selection, including sharable snacks, charcuterie, wursts, salads, sandwiches, burgers, platters, and so much more! But, what really drew my attention was the selection of Wurst Fries. I opted for the Sloppy Joe Fries, which were so good! Crispy fries covered with Sloppy Joe and Beer Cheese. Delicious! I also ordered a Washington St. Fizz cocktail, which is Amsterdam Gin, Lemon, Simple Syrup, Mint, and Club Soda. It was so refreshing, and it went perfect with my fries. This spot is great for groups, because they have plenty of seating, including large tables. The service was quick and friendly, and the bar was great! If you're looking for a dinner spot, I highly recommend it.

I'll start with the positives: -great location near The Yum Center and Waterfront Park...in a cool alley that has been working towards adding some fun businesses for residents and tourists alike -large space with lots of open seating Things that could make this spot 4-5 star worthy: -better food on the menu (they have lots that seem similar and tastes just ok) -hire more staff to serve guests...multiple times we have had super slow service due to the staff telling us "they were short staffed". If you are in a rush to get somewhere this is fairly irritating!

My first visit here and it was really good. I had the dew drops frankfurter and the brussel sprouts. The sprouts were phenomenal. They were a bit sweet and tender with some crumbled yummy bacon and I believe a maple syrup drizzle on them. I like the atmosphere which is very welcoming. The dew drops frankfurter had some beer cheese, sauteed mushrooms, onions and peppers on top. If I had one complaint it would be that they did not offer a lunch menu, however, I can't wait to go back and try some of the other offerings.

Food and drinks are very good. However be cautious when ordering a mixed drink. I ordered an Old Fashioned and it cost $22 dollars. Prices are not on the menu. More than anything else we ordered including food. This was not with a top tier bourbon.

We walked in the door and saw Nikki standing' at the bar. She asked us what would like to drink and and it we knew that it would go pretty far She said,"how's 'bout I show you the beer list and maybe some food?" Ain't that point the organ and back up band began to play and I knew I was in for the best time of my life. Cue the lights!!! Nikki showed me tastes and flavors that I washed down this high quality H2O that was filtered and brewed to perfection. Although knew what I wanted, my guest needed guidance and Nikki knew everything about everything. I know a lot about beer and liquor and Nikki impressed me. The Currywurst was great and the cabbage was awesome. Stop by. Give my lady a high five. And tip her well. She will treat you like a champ.

We came to The Hall on a quiet Tuesday afternoon during the work week. I had passed by this place many times and was always intrigued by its trendy decor and was glad to finally have a chance to try it for a work lunch. It was not busy st all for lunch but I have seen it be a packed house after events at the YUM center and on weekends. The food is all German inspired so of course we tried the pretzel and it came with 3 different sauces a mix of mustard and beer cheese. Really tasty! For our lunch we all opted for salads. I got the Brussels sprout salad with salmon which was delicious and my co workers got the chicken avocado salad. The portions are pretty big so we definitely felt like we had enough to eat. Although we were there for a work lunch it would be nice to go back and try some of their alcoholic beverages. They seemed to have a good brunch menu and a variety of radlers I would want to try as well. This is a good spot for a casual lunch or dinner.

Disappointed and under whelmed to say the least. The atmosphere is great we came right after a u of l game so the place was packed. The hall gets very noisy, a bit of fabric on the celling would help at being able to hold a conversation without yelling. The drink menu is great- great beer selection of course!!! My husband loved the chicken jagerschinzle and it was quite good. I got the beef goulash & spatzle and it was awful. The spatzle was musty, the beef chewy and as flavorful as a TV dinner. I had just a few bites and since my husband doesn't like wasting food he finished it. I ended up eating half a Ruben- the rye bread was great and the sandwich was good but nothing spectacular. If we are in the area I'd grab drinks here and if everyone else was eating the schnitzel. The food and drinks are pricy but given the downtown location it's about what you'd expect. A good German beer hall with home cooked food is needed and this isn't that.

A great downtown joint to grab some tasty sausages before the game. The place is large and perfect for large groups. They have affordable beer options and $8 well drinks. Not bad considering the location. Food has been hit or miss. The last bratwurst I had came out cold, but the platter was hot, fresh and delicious. They even have vegan options.
