We had an amazing dinner at The Silly Axe Cafe yesterday. We shared the chicken and bacon waffle sandwich, fries, and fried pickles. Everything was delicious and good portion sizes. After walking around the market for a while after eating, we decided to come back and get a slice of cake for dessert. Also a 10/10. The worker that served us was also very good!

I really don't know how to recommend something more. Absolutely worth every dollar. It's rare that I order food and don't regret it. Top quality chicken. Fries seasoned well and a plentiful amount. The server/cook was incredibly pleasant to talk to and accommodating. 11/10. Wish they had one near my house!

The food was decent, but when I checked my transactions later it turns out they added $5 to my ticket after the fact. Apparently they think it's okay to take a tip without permission.

If you're going to go, bring cash.

What a disappointment. We went to the other location 3 years ago and had a far better experience, this time was awfulwe drove 2 hours to eat here im so sad about this experience. The women at the register completely disregarded the customers keeping her back to you when you order. over all just terrible customer service and not surprised but she never place my order but took my money and gave me a pager. After about 45min of waiting I decided to ask where my food was. The Man cooking was by himself at this point and was kind and accommodating that's why this gets 3 stars. I did ask for my money back but they gave me a free cake slice with my meal finally. I don't think we will be back. So sad to say something good went down hill fast.

Are there before it moved from where it was right off bardstown road. Was really good and surprisingly not outrageously priced. Had a nice laid back feeling on top of the employees making sure you knew if something could possibly have something that might cause a food allergy reaction.

Very friendly service. Good food in a cute location! My chicken and waffles sandwich took maybe 10 minutes to be ready, while I waited I was able to walk around the Logan street markets and appreciate the local art vendors upstairs along with all of the other cute shops. The Silly Axe Cafe has lots of yummy menu options I can’t wait to return and try the flatbread!*I do wish the chicken and waffle came with maple syrup on the side - although that may have been available per request.

Honestly so disappointed ? came from out of town. I got the chicken and waffles. “Fried chicken” was a dry chicken breast with light batter—not crunchy at all. Waffles were mush. Fries were way over salted. They were out of almost everything else on the menu.

Was thrilled to find a dedicated gluten free restaurant. The food was amazing! The online menu is not up to date so be sure to check when you visit.

Dietary restrictions: They take dietary restrictions very seriously. I have Celiac Disease and the entire kitchen is gluten free.they even offer seats at a counter so you don't have to eat somewhere that might be contaminated.

I am sure that if Kaitlin Peperato (the most recent reviewer after mine) was aware of the struggles the family has been experiencing she maybe would have had a more measured review. I give them a lot of credit for maintaining a business that serves our gluten free community as best they can under the circumstances. I had 2 wonderful sandwiches during my visit. The “Nash” and the “don’t go bacon my heart” with pimento cheese. Both were very good. The young people working the both were pleasant and helpful. They prepared my food quickly and accurately. The transaction was a breeze and I didn’t wait very long. I imagine they sometimes get pretty busy and wait times may get backed up. I recommend going during off hours and try to avoid the most common busy periods like peak lunch and dinner hours.

Many small restaurants catering to gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy allergies. Wish there were more of these.
