Are there before it moved from where it was right off bardstown road. Was really good and surprisingly not outrageously priced. Had a nice laid back feeling on top of the employees making sure you knew if something could possibly have something that might cause a food allergy reaction.

Very friendly service. Good food in a cute location! My chicken and waffles sandwich took maybe 10 minutes to be ready, while I waited I was able to walk around the Logan street markets and appreciate the local art vendors upstairs along with all of the other cute shops. The Silly Axe Cafe has lots of yummy menu options I can’t wait to return and try the flatbread!*I do wish the chicken and waffle came with maple syrup on the side - although that may have been available per request.

Honestly so disappointed ? came from out of town. I got the chicken and waffles. “Fried chicken” was a dry chicken breast with light batter—not crunchy at all. Waffles were mush. Fries were way over salted. They were out of almost everything else on the menu.

Was thrilled to find a dedicated gluten free restaurant. The food was amazing! The online menu is not up to date so be sure to check when you visit.Dietary restrictions: They take dietary restrictions very seriously. I have Celiac Disease and the entire kitchen is gluten free.they even offer seats at a counter so you don't have to eat somewhere that might be contaminated.

I am sure that if Kaitlin Peperato (the most recent reviewer after mine) was aware of the struggles the family has been experiencing she maybe would have had a more measured review. I give them a lot of credit for maintaining a business that serves our gluten free community as best they can under the circumstances. I had 2 wonderful sandwiches during my visit. The “Nash” and the “don’t go bacon my heart” with pimento cheese. Both were very good. The young people working the both were pleasant and helpful. They prepared my food quickly and accurately. The transaction was a breeze and I didn’t wait very long. I imagine they sometimes get pretty busy and wait times may get backed up. I recommend going during off hours and try to avoid the most common busy periods like peak lunch and dinner hours.

Many small restaurants catering to gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy allergies. Wish there were more of these.

We ordered food twice in the past month from here. The phone just rings and rings. No one ever answers. They also offer curbside which is convenient because my partner would literally go into anaphylaxis if she stepped foot into that building due to severe allergies. It says to call upon arrival for curbside. How can I call if the phone just continuously rings? Then we find out they don't offer curbside and the owner said she would fix that immediately. Did she? Nope. We have screenshots to prove it. I have various calls to the establishment on my phone to where no one answered when calling. While the food is good according to my mother in law, it's not worth the money especially for the poor service and the fact that one item has been forgotten from the two different orders twice now and they were out of one thing we ordered. I paid about $50 both times for items to be missing and to have the staff the first time not even have an idea that there was an order while he was standing there on his phone, so I had to wait for a while for him to get together the food and go back in, for the incomplete order. The owner was spoken to and she said the item would be replaced next time we went, so since my partner is the one who spoke to her via Facebook messenger, she had sent me the screenshots to show to the worker for the next time we went to get the missed item from the first order. So, today she made another order, of course they were out of one item that was ordered again and I don't answer numbers on my phone I don't know, so I listen to my voicemail and call the the man from this business who telling me they are out of the one item and asked if I wanted it taken off my order like I was still expected to pay for something they didn't have? I told him what I wanted as a replacement and tried to explain to him that I also have screenshots of the owner telling us to let them know about the item that was missing from last time and they would replace it next time we order. The man kept asking me you already spoke to the owner about this and she actually okay'd that? And a few other questions along those lines. I said yes I can show you the messages between us and the owner and he became rude and was clearly not understanding what was being told or asked of him about the item being replaced. I still never got the item replaced and the man had a bad attitude (others around me heard the whole conversation). Also, for a gluten free place, maybe don't leave the bag of food on the front counter wide open when people are standing around the counter and walking by with not gluten free safe items when my mother in law has severe celiac. And you guys don't use gloves either? Because he did not have gloves on when handling food as I walked up. I guess we will find out if my mother in law gets severely ill from any of the food this time. And literally this business is out of most of their items all the time. What's the point of having a business if there's nothing to buy and the worker has an attitude? Unfortunately, my mother in law does not want to to do business with you anymore even though she loves what little food she has tried since there are not many safe options for her. You've lost our business for good. All we got were empty promises from the owner and a lack of respect and double checking orders from staff. Not worth the hassle or the ridiculous amount of money especially when items are missing and the staff argues with you about it even though there's proof of us speaking to the owner. We will be taking our business elsewhere.Parking: Good luck finding parking on the street and if you do, I'm not sure it would be safe enough to use a wheelchair to get to the building and I'm not sure if it's wheelchair accessible anyway (it seems like it might be though.

This location is in a Foodhall so it’s not sit down and be waited on service, but there’s cute shops and it’s a nice place. The waffle and fried chicken combo was delicious! I loved the sauce and pickle. I’ve never had gluten free chicken and waffles so it was a fun treat. I also love the name! It wasn’t until my map software pronounced it that I got the joke.Dietary restrictions: All gluten free, some dairy free

I visited the Silly Axe at Logan Street Market for the first time today for breakfast. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese waffle sandwich. It took about 20 min to get my food. To wait that long and pay $15+, you’d think I’d get the best BEC waffle sandwich ever, but no, it was so basic, dry and flavorless. It looked nice but the taste was severely disappointing. To be a cafe that focuses on waffles, you’d expect to get the best waffle. It was plain and flavorless, not savory, not sweet. The sandwich was supposed to come w fruit, but they gave me pickles. The best thing on my plate was the pickles. It also took way too long to get my food. My husband got food somewhere else and was waiting on me to get my food to eat, so his was ice cold by the time my sandwich was done. Stop asking for tips w every food order these days, it’s stuff like this that doesn’t deserve a tip but you don’t know till after you get your food.
