We got there soon before the kitchen closed but were very friendly and accommodating. Bartender was very knowledgable about bourbon.

I have lived in the neighborhood for 10 years and did NOT know this restaurant was hiding just down the road. The chicken & waffles are the best ever... The lady ran us down to return my husband's vape we left on the table. The music was a record player!

Stopped in at The Silver Dollar and it did not disappoint. My wife got the burger and fries—those fries were absolutely on point, perfectly seasoned and crispy. I went a different route and ordered a dish with chips and eggs… and wow. Crazy good, hearty, and full of flavor.

The atmosphere is laid back but still buzzing with good energy, and the staff made us feel right at home. Definitely one of those spots where you leave already planning your next visit. Yum!

We had the pulled pork and Nashville hot chicken. Beer and old fashioned. The grits were delicious. In fact it all was. Friendly and attentive service. We had a young family of 4 with us and they were very welcome. Enough items on the kids menu for all to enjoy. We will come again.

I went here with my bf recently & the service was good. They had a decent selection of non-alcoholic beers/cocktails and a menu that caters to people with various allergies/food restrictions. I will absolutely be coming back sometime to try the food, but I do feel like I should mention they did mess up my drink--which was no biggie for me since I do drink alcohol. I was pretty hesitant to write this review--especially since I didn't correct the bartender (that's completely on me at this point, they were very lovely), but I heard the staff discussing an incident that happened at another bar in the area with a pregnant woman on my way out & felt like maybe they should brush up on their non-alcoholic beer selection to help prevent a similar situation.

They showed me an entire line up of beer to choose from--literally lined them all up for us and told us a bit about each despite it being fairly busy at the bar. That was honestly above and beyond what I usually experience when I ask them about their selection. I didn't even realize the mistake until I was a good couple sips in & realized it had the alcohol content written on the side--which I'll admit I should've checked beforehand if I was serious about not drinking that night, but I was also trusting that they knew better than I did. I don't drink a lot of beer, so I do tend to rely on bartenders for a bit of guidance on that. On the bright side I now have a new favorite beer, it was super fruity and delicious, and a new bar to visit with an interesting menu.

Brian is hands down the most knowledgeable person I have ever met when it comes to whiskey. Incredible selection, great music/atmosphere and the food? It's fantastic. The Silver Dollar is a must for whiskey lovers visiting Louisville.

This is a must stop for Bourbon and Whiskey lovers. There's a lot to choose from here and they also have a good selection of crafted cocktails. Their take on the Old Fashioned is solid.

There's a small and diverse food menu. I had heard about their beer can hen, but, apparently that is no longer on the menu. Went with the Chicken and Waffles instead which was very good. The Nashville Hot maple syrup could have stood to have more of a kick.

It's primarily a bar, so, it's pretty loud in there.

Sw vice was very friendly and attentive.

Overall a nice experience, very slow as in attendance for a Sunday Brunch. Quick for food. No fountain drinks but a can of Diet Coke.

The food and wine were great! Atmosphere was very chill on a Sunday evening. Our server, Pearl, was genuinely so sweet and made our dinner great. We will be back!
