What has happened to this place ? I have been there a few times in my life , it was never great , but hasnt been disgusting until now. Went there yesterday for our anniversary and cant think of a time i have had worse food. Fries were dumped on with salt, fried chicken had zero flavor and tasted like a plain piece of chicken , and the French onion soup tasted like they dumped a jar of salt in it as well. Avoid this place. Atmosphere was good.

A dear friend and I got to visit The Village Anchor yesterday for brunch. It did not disappoint! From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was delicious. Stephanie was our server and Justin checked in on us a few times, which made for the type of top notch service I wish every restaurant had to offer! We thoroughly enjoyed the array of options on both food and drink menus. Highly recommend!

An old friend and I met here yesterday and it was not good. We ordered limoncello spritzes and realized later that we got charged a split for the whole bottle but we were not informed it would be charged that way. And the drink was completely gross and wrong, having made it with lemon juice instead of limoncello. Honestly I just would have taken the prosecco if I was getting charged for the whole bottle. Then I ordered the BLT and A. The bacon was not even cooked. It was cold and raw. I had to send it back. $54 for a bad lunch with my friend. We didn’t complain bc the service was so slow anyway and we didn’t want to end on a bad note. I don’t think I’ll be back for a while, which is a shame because it’s close to my house.

Lots of outdoor seating. The Sea Hag bar in lower level.
Big parking lot but often full.
Tuesday evening $12.00 meal, very crowded. Chech their special on website.

Absolutely INEDIBLE. Went there last night for the first time, the vibe is nice but our food was mostly disgusting. We got the pretzel charcuterie, the fish tacos, the hotter brown and the truffle fries. The pretzel charcuterie wasn’t too bad, but the rosemary cheese was gross. Our other food we barely ate because it was THAT BAD. The fish tacos were with this nasty sauce, my hotter brown was just an awful weird mushy load of slop. The truffle fries were oddly horrible, whatever truffle oil they’re using has gone bad. The sad part is, we are NOT hard to please. Who gets fries that bad? We didn’t take anything home and our bill was over 100$ for 2 people. The service was good, but no wonder it wasn’t busy on a Saturday night.

This is my first experience with this restaurant. I did a pick up order. It was fast establish was friendly, but the food was horrible not only was it overpriced but it looked like baby vomit. I got the hotter brown $25 was about 2 cups of mush with three cherry tomatoes on top and a piece of bacon. It was not only terrible to look at. It tasted the same way and I love a hot brown. This was the worst meal I’ve had in a restaurant in a very long time. My son ordered something completely different and he said he was OK again for $25. My Food needs to be better than OK. Three fish tacos that I could’ve gotten a better meal at Taco Bell. I’m very disappointed, extremely disappointed, especially with this restaurant It’s so cute to look at and actually has good reviews. I don’t know how because the food was horrible. I wouldn’t suggest wasting your money.

We ate in the Sea Hag on Derby Day. Service and atmosphere were great. We had the wagyu beef burger and steak frites. Both the burger and steak were excellent and cooked to order well. The only issue we had was the fries that came with the burger and steak were room cold and soggy. We informed our server who rushed out fresh hot fries which were great.

We ordered the meatloaf burger and the BLT&A. The burger was 23 dollars, and severely overpriced. The BLT was ok, but again overpriced. If you're going to charge $23 for a sandwich, it should at least be a good sandwich. The Brussel sprouts had a stinch so pungent that they were nauseating and totally uneatable. If you eat here, I recommend taking a bottle of Kaopectate with you.

The Village Anchor always delivers! We have been going for years and was glad to get brunch when we were back in town. Had a beer on the lanai with brunch. Cam was our server and the customer service was amazing! Can’t wait to come back!

First time to eat there for lunch. Sat outside, had an amazing pick 3 lunch and great service. Also, left my computer bag there when I left and they secured it, called my business card and got it back safely! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Always great coming to the village anchor. It's got a great patio, the service is top notch and the food is great too! Appetizers came out quick, and they were high quality. Great place to spend an evening. We went for wine down Wednesday, but will def come back for other events/themed nights.
