I was here this evening for dinner with friends. We had a great meal, great drinks, and our server was friendly and attentive. The only problem was the dessert which I ordered; sopapillas. These are traditional New Mexican soft, fried, puffed dough pockets, drizzled with honey or covered in cinnamon and sugar. Think small soft donuts. Well, what I got was a hard, flat, fried tortilla, cut into quarters, and covered in cinnamon and sugar. That is NOT any kind of a sopapilla I have ever had at any Mexican restaurant before. It was awful. When I told the server my thoughts on what was served, she argued with me that this was indeed sopapillas. Right. My advise; do not order this usually delightful dessert at Tres Amigos, because you'll get something other than true sopapillas!

For all you Don Pablo’s fans - they have the swirl margarita dialed in. Thought they were gone forever, but no. Everything I have had to eat has also been incredibly tasty and well-priced. It is my new go-to for Mexican in Louisville!

Went there to celebrate my birthday. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Today was no different. Great margaritas. Great food. Had to leave right after food delivered to take care of something. Came back a few minutes later, the server had put the foodnunder heat to keep fresh and hot for me. After dinner the staff brought me out a tres Leche cake and Sombrero and sung to me. Made my dinner end in a special way. I will definitely be returning again.Ordered the big green burrito! It is my definite go to. Queso was hot and yummy also. Pitcher house margaritas were top notch also

I think this restaurant is still pretty new, but they're doing GREAT! The food is amazing, the service is amazing and the atmosphere in the restaurant is a lot of fun. The food tastes really fresh and high quality. For example, I've tried a lot of dishes with grilled tomatoes and have not liked the tomatoes, but the first thing I ordered from Tres Amigos had grilled tomatoes, and they were SO GOOD. I highly recommend giving this place a try, you won't regret it!
