Troll Pub Under the Bridge

We tried this place for dinner recently and had a good experience. The big troll outside is pretty creepy, but fun to take a picture with. Taking the stairs down to the restaurant sets the tone for an under the bridge troll experience. The inside is a pretty cool, brick interior with dim lighting. Makes it seem like the place is hundreds of years old. The place is spacious and the bar area is massive. In true Louisville form, the bar has just about any bourbon you can hope for. We didn’t sit in the bar area since we had our 3 year old with us, but we would definitely come back to try that for a future trip. The fried pickles (“frickles”) were ok. They were pretty soggy and not as crisp as we usually like. The Angry Alfredo and the Kentucky Hot Brown entrees were great. My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese. The pear cider and the troll old fashioned were tasty drink options. The service was a little slow, but we will definitely consider coming back.

Came in on a whim, and thoroughly enjoyed. Our server, Preston, was great. He was knowledgeable about the food and drinks. The food was delicious and served quickly.

Huge waste of time and money. We arrived and were sat promptly. We ordered drinks, and appetizers, and then our mains. The appetizers were never delivered, and it took almost an hour for our mains to arrive. Apparently the kitchen was having an “off night.”

Only one person in the party got a refill. The rest of us ordered drinks from the bar and were never offered refills. The server did remove the appetizers from the bill and she gave us a brownie dessert which was brought while we were only half way thru our meal.

There are far better places for far less money in Louisville. We aren’t from here so we try to support local when we can, but this was a big NO for us.

Had a blast!!!! Drinks are amazing, food is great and the service is the best. Mattie made the whole experience worth going back to again and again. For sure a must for my next trip.

Easily accessible via the KFC Center parking garage. Good, non-crowded option for families with kids at lunchtime. Very nice staff!

Awesome service. The staff is friendly, funny, and helpful. We had a party of 11, and they were extremely kind and made us feel like we were the only ones in the place, despite it being busy. The drinks and food are exactly what you need when you go to a pub.

Bar food and slow service. The table behind us was very loud, and while we don't mind that, the crude comments and descriptions being made were uncalled for. Drinks were not great. Need to work on bar drinks for non bourbon drinkers. Yes, I know then don't go.. But, should have had at least 1 option.

absolutely 10/10 recommend. our sever Becky did an amazing job and was the absolute sweetest! the food was AMAZING 👏 Wes sat down and had lunch as a family. poutine, angry alfrado, the kentucky brown, chicken and waffle, and chicken strips!

I had a reservation for a party if 11, we were immediately seated, had the best service, our server was Grace was amazing and dealt with us we can be a lot.. food was fantastic but Grace made our experience amazing.

Had a great dinner and rye bourbon flight while also catching the Washington Capitals game to see the Great 8 catch up to the Great One. Overall great experience!

Waited a long time for food. That's to be expected though when busy, so not bothered by that. All the adults received food about 10 mins before kids which is disappointing. If anything let's get the kids feed first. Kids food was cold and chicken had a very bad taste. Had some upset stomachs following dinner so worried we may have gotten bad chicken. Enjoyed the private room, but think we were forgotten several times. In the past we had a good experience which is why we came back. Food was definitely disappointing this visit.

We made the reservation for 4:30, they gave us the table right behind the host stand. There were tons of open spots. We asked to be moved so we old have more of the “experience” and the hostess was clearly annoyed and said they had a lot of reservations. The entire time we were there there were open tables. The only food that we thought was good was the appetizer (fries) that we got. Everything else was flavorless.
