Tropical Smoothie Cafe

The staff was very friendly! I had been here a time or two before, but it had been a while. When I asked for suggestions on healthy breakfast and smoothie options, the amazing woman working at the register was very helpful! She mentioned the different options and what would pair nicely together. This is a great, smoothie place in the Middletown area. I’d recommend Tropical Smoothie Cafe for anyone looking for a quick bite or drink, especially after a workout or even a mid-day break.

Been here a handful of times since I've started going back to the gym, staff is friendly and quick, food is decent, and the peanut paradise protein smoothie is basically a better tasting gainer shake. Great for the money.

I was out looking for a healthy drink in Middletown. Went to one location they were closed and thought I’d call it a night but stumbled on this lil green! Kinda tucked away. Clean, quiet, not busy but what a robust menu!! The young lady who served me also greeted me as I entered. She was knowledgeable about the menu and answered my questions politely and offered her opinion. Great price. Great value. Great taste. Great choice! Go and enjoy.

Love this place and always have. The service was awful this time. Mind you, the place was not busy at all. Two people were waiting for their order when I walked in. The young teenage girl comes up to the register, no “how are you today” - she looks at me and says “what do you want?” Like she was bothered to do her job. Annoyed, I told her my order and held up my phone stating I had a reward. She didn’t know how to process the reward and asks a co-worker who she had to call for multiple times due to music playing in the background and her earbud being in. Teach teenagers how to work and be respectful to guests or dont hire them.

Second time I’ve had hair in my chicken quesadilla

Apparently this place has been around and I have missed it! What a hidden gem. Tasty healthy food is hard to find. I got a chicken pesto wrap and smoothie for $13.12. The pic is horrible as I was too hungry to take a pretty pic.

I was the only customer and stood there for almost 5 minutes while the workers just staring at me and fighting over who's going to take my order because no one wanted to. The two male employees just laughed and kept saying to each other no you take the order . When I asked if there was a manager they pointed at some girl that was in the back. She finally took my order and when I asked her if she was the manager she said she was lead or something. She took my order and made it while the two males just kept laughing in the back and playing around. Made me feel uncomfortable.

This past two weeks have been awful. One time I ordered there was a hair in my food. The next time I called because the smoothies I ordered were missing one of the ingredients. So I called and politely told them about the issue and they hang up and ignored me twice. I had spoke with one manager (I believe his name is Cj) he said he'd get back to me about my order and never did. Then today I saw a manager (I believe) was making food then touched her cellphone with the same gloves on and proceeded to finish making my food. Which is a health code issue in Food safety. I will not be coming back here again. This places had gone down hill.

i love this place but i watched something foul just happen. they made me the wrong smoothie which happens and is totally fine but the girl took it from me, wrote down the name of the smoothie that it actually was and out loud said to her co worker she would save it for a different order. as someone that works in food service that is foul and incredibly illegal since the food has been contaminated. if i had aids someone would get that smoothie and also have aids :)
