Tropical Smoothie Cafe

My main issue with this place is that they do not fully blend the smoothies at all and all of the heavy stuff sinks to the bottom so I'm not even really drinking a smoothie I am eating a shitty fruit bowl. Imagine if you spent $8 on something and the person that made it did not even take their time or care. And I do not even come here when it's busy. Multiple times I have been the only customer in the store and no online orders on the shelf and my smoothie was still not fully blended. Come on now.
Their service is only kind of friendly. I normally have to say something to someone before they say something to me. Once again come on now, simple stuff.

I ordered on arrival. I like their green smoothies, the detox smoothie is low sugar and has a flavorful blend of kale, spinach pineapple ginger and a few other goodies. You can add things to your smoothie at an extra cost, such as collagen, pea protein and immunity support. This location has a small patio outside. Parking in front of the restaurant. Clean location, friendly staff.

Vegetarian options: They have plant based protein additives, like pea protein.

Ordered 2 smoothies. 1 was a small jetty sub strawberry for banana. Both done, took out to vehicle, then noticed the small jetty was a brown, yes brown, smoothie. Took it back in and was told something to the effect, we knew we made it wrong and figured you’d be back. Also, while waiting, she NEEDED to get to the tip drawer, had to yell at someone outside she obviously knew whilst holding open the door. She did replace the jetty, but it obviously, by taste, did not have double strawberry, thankfully tho didn’t have banana. I do usually give places 3 chances, but i am not sure after the wrong smoothie AND the unacceptable behaviour.

Do not order from THIS location!!

I ordered from the Tropical Smoothie Cafe app, and the app ordered from this location. I was physically in a different store. I called to cancel like current managers said. This location said they can't cancel!! You can't cancel?! So they got free $$$!! ??? I called to cancel!!

Service is terrible someone was making g.my drink and.walked away in the middle and.started.an interview. I had to ask for.it.

They literally did not make my order which I came to retrieve an hour later. Plenty of time to fix my order. Then she asks can I help you and u tell her what my order was and she goes on helping other customers like I said nothing. Then I had to ask again to find out if I was getting a drink or my money back. Finally one girl hands me my drink with an attitude. I ordered an island smoothie with frozen yogurt and she gave me a chunky mango only smoothie. No apologies or nothing as if im the one who made a mistake and I'm a regular customer. This is at the Shelbyville location 4024 Shelbyville rd at 5:50 pm. These ladies were unprofessional rude and they were getting everyone's order messed up. I'm going back to smoothie king at least they were pleasant and always had my order correct. Your new employees cost you another customer. Never again.

I stopped at this location to get the Breakfast California Flatbread. I 100% recommend getting this without the chipotle mayo and the smoked cheese blend (the staff could not tell me what was in the cheese blend), then add the roasted tomato salsa and feta.

The flatbread was soft, warm and perfectly fluffy. I ordered mine with the grilled chicken instead of sausage and it was flavorful and juicy. The avocado was plentiful. The egg was perfect. The salsa was just spicy. Honestly there is nothing bad I can say about this sandwich!

I paired it with the detox island green smoothie and for $10 , this was the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time. The only recommendation I have is that the temperature inside the store was so cold so they should probably cut back on their air conditioning.

They will hire anyone with a pulse at this location and it is ruining the brand. The employees here are super rude and don't seem to know how to read or how to talk to people. Have some pride in what you do, even if it's fast food.
And as for management / owners, your symbolic gestures in the replies here are getting you no where in mending damaged relations with customers as the links you provide don't work and the url you often suggest just routes you back to calling the store, where they do not care. I'll be doing a charge back and I suggest others reading this do the same because you will get no solution out of them.
